I can't recall hearing Chris mentioning Neptunia before, so it strikes me as odd that it has entered into his fantasies so strongly.

tl;dr - For whatever reason, Chris seems to be reinforcing and strengthening his fantasy world recently. I don't want to speculate why but (as other posters have pointed out) it stands to reason that Chris may be less happy with how his real-life situation is worsening.

I think the issue is that, like most people, his interests change. He's just not as into Sonic and Pokemon as he was. But he's a concrete thinker - Sonichu is real to him, in a sense, so he can't just stop talking about CWCville, any more than we could resolve the North Korea situation by pretending NK doesn't exist. So he has to pile fantasy on to fantasy, with self-insert after self-insert interacting even though they all fulfill exactly the same story function.

Not true, Chris does this all the time. Anime wasn't always part of CWCville, all that Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Moon, and Excel Saga stuff only got added in when he got deep into the GAMe PLACe crowd's interests. There were a ton of Transformers added in (Samurai Pizza Bots, Mary Lee Walsh's evil transformers, etc) mostly because Chris ran out of ideas. And how about the Family Guy stuff?
I think the ponies and Neptunia additions aren't unprecedented at all. Only the extent that he "plays along" is new.

Whenever Chris inevitabily gets in another big mess (Let's say.....Chris gets a taser gun and tases an innocent Pottery Barn employee because...I don't know, because some faggy pony who only appeared in two episodes during 20 seconds changed voice actress) I just hope that please, please, please, he tries to pull this kind of crap in front of a judge. And that someone records it.

One change is that the pony shit is pushing Sonichu & co aside. Before, while he'd freely bring in characters from Transformers, Power Rangers and Gilligan's Island, the focus remained on Chris and the hedgehogs. At the moment, the hedgehogs are reduced to side characters while Chris spergs on about Equestria and Twilight Horseshit or whatever.

Well there's certainly nothing new about that :lol: Chris is still stealing their spotlight, he just has more self-inserts to do it with now.

By the way, I find Chris' ongoing affinity for Magi-Chan to be interesting. Even before the whole "Rip holes in spacetime's taint with binaural psychic powers" thing captured Chris' imagination, Magi-Chan was always the all-powerful and all-knowing one. And now he (and his dickgirlfriend) beat out Sonichu himself as the first to visit Chris IRL.

Who knows what's going on in Chris' fucked up head? I hope he doesn't go deep down the tulpa/split personality rabbit hole, since he's autistic enough to warp his perception of reality if he really wants to.

Ah well - it was inevitable that he'd end up legitimately crazy at some point. Maybe that's coming sooner rather than later.

I dont think Chris has the determination nor patience to make a Tulpa. That or he might get too scared that he will brake his mind (Since he's already fucking mental as it is.) But I do agree that any day now he might make a big scene somewhere that can get him admitted to a psyche ward or get him some jail time. Nothing extreme like violence , but more a long the lines of disturbing the peace and potentially resisting arrest (again). What he will do, If it'll happen, or when it will happen all comes down to simply time will tell. But right now might be the closest Chris has come to going full insane. It might be time to see his final form.
