My guess is he just skimmed what protected account means and doesn't know about the followers-only thing. Or he might think that because he's a follower of those accounts, it fulfills the requirement.

There's a theory that he knows and is just trying to psychically link to them for their answer. But if that's his belief, I don't think he'd go through the effort of typing up the tweets and would just play out the whole thing in his head.

BronyCon is asking for people who have gone above and beyond in the fandom, Chris just ignores all that and wants in because he caused some drama in the community. I don't think he's done jack shit for their fandom other than make his own terrible OCs. That would be like me demanding to be a guest at a ChrisChan convention because I post here sometimes.

I highly doubt Chris would even be considered for a candidate spot because what work has Chris done for the fandom? All he's done is cause headaches for numerous fans and boarder-line harassed them by block evading. If anything, his behaviour will be something to get him banned before hand or will the brony community be forgiving enough to let him in? If that's the case, Chris' idols would file for a restraining order.

All we can do is wait. If Chris goes or gets banned, we'll get something out of it either way.
