Coincidently, Sonichu Psychology (Griefter faggot who makes second tier videos "analyzing" Chris) also removed his video where he Interviewed Ren.

Either way, I think we can all safely assume that RenRyghts is just another failed Idea Guy wannabe, since I apparently heard as well that he wanted to use Persona's lore to "help" Chris, how it would help him in the first place or how he would try to utilize the lore to help him? fuck if I know...I guess it kind of explains why he sperged out for a bit when Chris (or should I say Caden or Flutter) blocked him on Twitter after gifting him Persona 5 on the switch.

Anybody ever seen Videodrome?

As pointed out by Ammyterasu the VHS tape I (and some other users to a lesser extent) sperged about a while ago was sold.

I just remembered that VHS listing of Chris' allegedly original Animal Crossing playthrough, it seems it successfully sold for almost 100 bucks including shipping after 34 bids.

I waited to make a post about it until I physically got the tape into my possession and had a VCR to play the tape. It was just driving me nuts not being able to identify the tape or verify authenticity. For reference the VCR I was using is a Samsung DVD V2500. The remote has a spinner which allows for fine scrubbing, pretty close to frame by frame.

The tape itself came well packaged. It was sort of wrapped up in cardboard and really well taped, but no bubble wrap. As in usual USPS fashion the carrier crammed it into the mailbox, but no damage done. Small autistic note, as shown in the pictures below there was writing on the inside of the cardboard. No idea what it means. I can't be bothered to upload a picture of it but on the inside of the cardboard was also written in sharpie "#9".

Ok, now that everyone has given me autism stickers, let's get to the more interesting stuff.

I scrubbed through most of it and it seems to be in order. Good ol' classic Chris Chan autism. I also scrubbed through the blank end of the tape in case there was anything there, but I didn't see anything.

The first few seconds of the tape seems to have some kind of copying error, like leftover frames from when the tape was taped over?

I believe the first picture is of The Ladd Company's logo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ladd_Company), which is apparently a movie studio. Does anybody recognize these two characters/people? It seems to be a black man and a white man having a conversation or something. There's no associated audio. When I first saw it I thought it was from some kind of Christian talk show or something. I could really use some help trying to identify this.

The first like 10 minutes of the tape has really bad quality. I don't think it's my tape player, the rest of the tape is in perfect (for VHS over AV) quality. The picture will be fine for a few seconds then for a second or so it'll look like this or worse and the audio will go staticky:

Does anyone know a way to non-destructively remove glued on paper? I'd like to be able to put the label back afterwards, but if I have to I'll just peel it up with an x-acto.

As far as determining the tape's authenticity I'm still at a loss. The seller is still on ebay and hasn't taken down their page or anything weird. If anybody has any ideas please let me know. We have a lot more options now that the tape is in our possession.
I need to digitize the tape, especially since then I could really go frame by frame on the beginning and get good screenshots. Does anybody know of good ways to digitize a VHS tape, preferably without needing a capture card?

I'm like 90% sure its not genuine, but if it is real hopefully it doesn't have the curse of the Sonichu Medallions.

You'll forgive me if I don't stay around to watch. I just can't cope with the freaky stuff.

Maybe the logo and the (likely) talk show frames are from two different recordings? Looking at that company wiki page, the only not regular movie they made is about a Bette Midler concert.

According to this site the logo with the bright green tree in a white field is the most recent one, and it seems they started using it in 1995. Actually, if that site's info is correct that all the movies released in 1995 and later featured the company logo at the end of the movie (they didn't list 1996's The Phantom but I quickly checked a few streaming sites and it's not at the beginning) maybe the recording caught the tail end of a movie and the talk show aired right after.

If you wanted to make a VHS tape look "authentic", as it "old footage", taping over a few things, then putting on what you want will get you that look.
