How long will it take for her body to be discovered when it eventually happens? I think I read that Chris visits her only about once a month. Do you think he's in touch with her between those visits? Does he call her on the phone regularly? Do you think she can exchange email with him? Or are they mostly out of touch these days? Most old people have family, friends, and neighbors who check on them and help them out, but Barb has burned so many bridges that I don't think there's anyone left who cares enough to do so. Could she be laying dead at Branchland Court the Sonichu Temple right now, and no one will know for weeks until Chris makes his next trip over there to scoop up gravel from the driveway?

Why would anyone buy it for anything other than trash value and change the address? They'd be buying it FOR the address.
 
Given that Flutter is out of the picture, Chris had yet another crash out at a convention, and his videos and content are getting more unhinged, what is the next saga?

Better question is, when does this end because Chris Chan is like a show that should have ended at 5th season,yet we're on the 14th.

Well, if they do any more Neptunia updates in the following weeks, probably that.

Chris is both dumb and delusional at this point. As a result its very possible Barb could suddenly die and Chris not realize it, either assuming she's asleep or denying it in his mind despite being right next to her body.

I think we can assume that we are in the 'Self-Proclaimed Redemption' saga, given they usually start by Chris doing something spontaneously and noteworthy...and him showing up at Harmonycon out of nowhere in White Ranger cosplay as part of this likely post-Flutter period is about as good a start as any other 'plotline' in the shitshow that is the life of Christian Weston Chandler.

I don't think Chris is going to take it well in the slightest, frankly. That one jail letter where he wanted her to drop dead for the house notwithstanding, she is the only family Chris has had for petty much all of his life other than Bob, and Bob's been dead for years.

The only thing that could really complicate matters is the handling of 14BC, but as mentioned it's likely going to be taken from Chris one way or another, so he'll lose his mother AND the home that was so iconic to his self-image through his entire life. At the same time, he doesn't really do a lot of 'high-energy' things anymore, the Harmonycon stunt was really the first 'Chris' thing he'd done post-jail.

To elaborate on this: batty old crones like Barb have a habit of living way, WAY longer than anyone anticipates/wants. For every old woman you know, every time you think about the subject of her passing, The Reaper pushes her death date back by two weeks. Barb has at least another ten years, and there's a non-zero chance that she outlives Chris.

Possibly. Unlike Bob, Chris has been preparing himself for Barb's death, claiming things like she's not really his mother, but rather Emmanuel or whatever, not to mention licking his lips about getting 14 Branchland. Bob's death was a shock because Chris believed that dream where he'd die years later than he actually did, and only incorporated him into his magical world afterwards.

This is what's going to really sting for Chris. He won't have the money to pay the bank, and has no idea how estates operate. One whiff of something like Cole being involved, even if he's not, is going to send him to the moon. Chris likes to automatically assume he's going to get something he wants, and when he doesn't get it, that's when the fireworks begin.

One thing I had thought about is Caden swooping in and somehow getting possession of the house. Maybe he'll allow Chris to live there, but the ultimate goal of Caden is to acquire another piece of property for his portfolio. Getting Chris to chip in is going to make it a lot less expensive to get a piece of property for once Chris is dead, and Caden will long outlive him.

He'll have his own little Sonichu Temple playset and matching action figure and when Chris dies he'll turn it into a Museum of Christory and Shrine to Sonichu and the Immaculate Healing Powers of the Barbussy

That very well could be Praetor though. Caden, coming from a rich family and taking a huge chunk of Chris' money and likely investing it (which would especially help if Barb lives to her 90s by which point he'd have been taking money from Chris for at least eight years, so compound interest will really add up, assuming we don't head into a great depression) could probably buy the house and Chris would be back in the Sonichu temple. I could also see Praetor somehow converting it into a museum of some kind with Chris obviously being the main attraction without realising it

True, but Caden is profiting off of Chris, and is likely working under the assumption that Chris won't live to 60 (or in other words doesn't have long left), by which time, Caden will be 40 and will have a lot of money (even more than what he already has from family). Might sound stupid Ik, but like you said, the world doesn't make sense. Caden seems to care about money above all else

Well it seems two things happened, according to the CWCki:

1) Chris had a mental breakdown on 6th April in a Cameo Video, mostly over (from what I can tell) his CPU Blue Heart character getting removed from the Hyperdimension Neptunia canon. (https://sonichu.com/cwcki/6_April_2026_Cameo_videos#Chris_Has_A_Mental_Breakdown)
2) On 10th April, Chris made a tweet chain regarding his political views: https://sonichu.com/cwcki/April_2026_social_media_posts#Chris_realizes_his_political_stance.

So from what I can tell, Chris is imploding over his Goddess/Jesus/CPU/whatever persona being erased from canon, and he's starting a vendetta against the developers over it.

Also, he posted another tweet chain on 10th April where he blames Youtube's AI algorithm for nobody reacting to his videos (and few reacting to Brony ones), likely him making an excuse for why nobody bothers to watch his boring Transformers videos. All I can say is, I hope anime conventions have metal detectors at the doors, as the chance of Chris barging into one with weapons in his bag (like he did at a Gamestop store) is increasing.
