I see no reason to think that Chris lying about being broke this time. Usually Chris begs because he wants additional money so he can buy toys after the bills are paid, but because Chris freaked out so much and is now on the really cheap Bronycon pass I see no reason not to think he had to pay two mortgage payments, credit card debt, and other expenses. This isn't your normal affordable small house mortgage, this is a second mortgage Barb took out a few years ago. So it's probably already expensive with outrageous interest and late fees.

I've never seen Chris tard rage so hard within the last couple years when people didn't send him enough money. So either he's actually broke and used the money Jack Z gave him to pay the bills, or the new Idea Guy and other weens are paying him or trolling him into freaking out.

I don't know much about how Paypal works tbh, but it doesn't seem like an impossible task to put a stop payment on a transaction. If Chris spent a bunch of his own money on the faith that he basically had $1500 of Jack's money going into his account, only for it to not show up? I mean it would make sense regarding Chris's latest actions... I mean maybe I'm fucking my timeline up here (my memory, even of recent events is total dogshit), but it wasn't until Jack vanished that Chris started really ramping up his e-begging into a fervor we haven't seen in a while. But idk if it's even possible.

I get the feeling it was something like this (being tricked into spending more money than he should have), he was scammed (probably in a similar manner), or he's just pissy that he had to spend his toy money on the bills. Idk. Regardless, speculation can be fun sometimes lol.

I don't know much about how Paypal works tbh, but it doesn't seem like an impossible task to put a stop payment on a transaction. I don't think it was Jack. He gave Chris $1,200, but Chris said he was behind by $6,000. Also, the begging had ramped up before Jack showed up.

This is exactly why giving people shit purely for donating to Chris is a bad idea, the money's gone to Chris already, so we should at least prioritize getting info over not getting it.

Well that's because he comes off as this all knowing person with borderline encyclopedic knowledge of everything Chris Chan. Keep in mind that in the post-Bob era, we frequently lack key info, in this case it is the exact figures that Chris has to pay every month for bills, and whatever dumb shit he buys that we aren't privy to. That is a HUGE mass of info that we don't have access to and we cannot presume its contents before actually knowing (which might as well be never btw).

In general, people need to understand that we've been extrapolating distant data points for a while now, and by definition, that will always be less accurate than a trollsona directly pumping Chris for info like the old days.

I think there's a lot of confirmation bias in lolcow watching, and in this case, it's no different than assuming that he still smells, because it's easier for people to assume what they think is the funnier alternative.

I doubt it. Paypal does offer refunds for transfers like donations and other charges if you claim that it was done by someone else like someone hacked your account or stole your credit card, but I don't think Jack Z did that because Chris probably would've mentioned it because the money comes out of PayPal and the original recipient is charged quite a bit for chargebacks.

People want to take Chris as an "all or nothing" situation. When @Marvin refutes what someone says it's typically in response to when people say things like "Chris is a shut in" or "Chris would lose the house for not paying bills when Barb dies." People literally think that Chris is some well known sperg around town. Those are things @Marvin refutes because they're not true. Chris knows how to pay bills . Does that make him good at managing money? Fuck no. Chris used to hang out at The End and actually made friends with people who can put up with him. Does that make him a social butterfly? Nah. People want to speak in absolute truths about Chris and it helps to let people know that it's not as simple as that.

I am not very surprised that he's not opening up yet, I read somewhere that fraud victims tend to experience similar feelings to what rape victims feel.

Add this to the fact that Chris's emotional intelligence is far less developed than the average person (autism..etc), so he is less equipped to handle it, and the possibility that he legitimately is afraid of the "LOL TROLLED" messages he will inevitably get on Twitter or his phone.

I always assumed that was the plan for Jack since like, his third post here. I don't want to say I'm mad on the internet...maybe frustrated or confused...Jacks plan was stupid and unoriginal, a scam straight from 2001. You have to remember that this shit happened to him a year.or.two ago when he was doing those shitty Sonichu paintings, and this was after he switched it to "buy it now". He tried selling one for $5,000, noticed that someone clicked on buy it now, Chris sent the buyer a pompus message telling him/her to pay NOW NOW NOW, the buyer told Chris that said $5,000 was already on its way, and Chris being the dumbass that he is decided to go out and spend the $5,000 on toys, Legos, A PS4, and some games. Come to find out a couple days later either the buyer backed out or the payment bounced, and that Chris wasn't going to get the money. But unfortunately for Chris, the damage was done and the dipshit spent money that was never in the account to begin with. So it's entirely possible that the same thing happened again.
