I am a terrible human being, and I have a theory: he is trying to obscure the page order so these samples do not give away the narrative because you can't tell the order the pages are in. Please ignore the date also posted on each page.

Yeah, I think it's something tumblr artists do specifically for that reason. Chris probably picked it up from artists on patreon or twitter.

I'm pretty sure Chris has been claiming portal powers since long before Rick and Morty. I know he's done these sort of drawing mashed with photo gimics before, but this is the first time I can recall him illustrating the portal breach in action.

Does he eventually color the pages anymore?

(I have kid relatives who watch mlp) in MLP, theres this thing called the cutie mark map which is a map of the MLP world. Each time theres a "friendship problem"(a dispute) the ponies' cutie marks glow and the map shows them where the dispute is. Then they solve the dispute.
So in Sonichu, Cunt Nugget and Nightstar are led by the map to that parrot's ship, where two of her crew members are mad at each other. They're mad because one of them has a shady friend, and the other doesn't trust that friend. Nightcunt discover that that shady friend is manipulative or something(he wrote about strapping a bomb to his parrot friend) and the two parrots make up, and love is love.

At this point I consider these vapid art pages a sort of therapy for Chris. If he can just sit there and churn out mindless childlike cartoons I guess that's better than 99% of what he's been dragged into lately. Good for him.
