IIRC it’s a bit of a strange character because he’s the only non villain the main characters have an utter distain for, the first episode he’s in has even more things Chris can relate to - he’s seen as a burden to his parents because he’s unable to support himself with his artistic interests, according to the wiki about the show “his attempts at being employed usually involve him slacking off and getting others to do the work for him or otherwise quitting without even trying”, “He moves their knickknacks out of the way to make room for his own”, “He is also heavily infatuated with Rainbow Dash, constantly flirting with her under the narcissistic belief that she is obsessed with him.” and the episode revolves around his sister persuading his enabling parents to give him an ultimatum to get a job or move out.I was curious to see what might have triggered chris so bad about that episode of MLP, so I bit the bullet and watched. Honestly it didn't seem that out of line with the norm for the show. However it did include a side character I think would offend chris's sensibilities. Basically there's a pony incel character who nobody likes, can't get/keep a job due to his own laziness and massive ego, and constantly hits on female ponies while sounding like a total loser.
... sound familiar to anyone?
