If you go to Google and search something like "Community Platform by XenForo" or "Forum Software by XenForo" (both with the quotes), then go to a random page you're likely to find a bunch of random forums, due to the fact that XenForo writes that in the footer unless you buy the Copyright Removal. However, due to a lot of forums not buying this (mainly due to it being more expensive than XenForo itself) which means that we can easily find forums using this. Some of them can look hideous too.
You can also find phpBB forums using "Powered by phpBB® Forum Software" and vBulletin forums using "Powered by vBulletin"

Post all the random forums you find here! And who knows, maybe we’ll find another community watch community doing this.

Edit:
Thanks to @Milles d'Allemagne for making me aware of this:
There's a website called wiby which is a "search engine for the old internet". If you search forum there, you can find some there too.

I had to go past the first page of Google to find something that wasn't boring like the main Xenforo forums or tech support forums for certain software, and it was still kind of boring.

Some type of old school Macintosh forum:

Star Wars: Movie Battles 2 forum, which is a mod for Jedi Academy, TIL. It seems surprisingly active.

Some type of... 3D printing forum? I don't know.

Kind of rad.

These are all giving early webring/web 1.0 vibes and I fucking love it. You see interesting things like niche craft or tech forums or old hotrodder forums ran by typical genX or boomers and they're still plugging along with a relatively active userbase, and it's awesome.

Stuff like this is how the entire internet used to be before pReddit, Google and social media homogenized and ruined it

I stopped clicking on forum links after finding that "sex dolls enthusiasts" forum.

some of my forums I use have been going since the late 90s.

I recommend using wiby.me to have a preselected searchpool of weirdos. Also not limiting yourself to xenoforo, phpBB is the tool of choice for real weirdos

We've got anime pedos:

Oddly enough asking themselves similar questions as here. How do we get more weirdos to leave their discords and join our forum.

We've got at least 1 real pedo on this http website that hasn't update their xenoforo in 12 years.

And a fan forum for some youtuber (that he started last year) that embrace far to many conveniences and are also pedo furries (or at least user loebas is)

I did a quick search and found a forum called "kiwifarms". It looked like a really scary place
Sounds really scary...

Reddit is fine for solving problems but forums are just so much better and much more fun.

phpBB was the shit. About two decades ago I used to post a lot on a forum that was based on it and never had any complaints. Very neat and convenient.

A Nintendo gaming forum

Wat? Also it seems this website was DOA, with only 37 registered users since inception it seems, saw some posts being 2 years apart. Some of it fills me with nostalgia as a Nintendokid growing up.

I know the feeling of seeing one of your favorite internet forums die off, this...this makes me sad. These were the last posts, 5 years ago.

Mario Party Legacy: https://mariopartylegacy.com/forum/

Nofap, very active: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php

Tradtalk. I thought it was something political but its about archery: https://www.tradtalk.com/forums/

Reefcentral, about specifically reefs for aquariums. There's links at the bottom of the page for more forums: https://forums.reefcentral.com/

Cavalier Talk, about cocker spaniels: https://www.cavaliertalk.com/forums/index.php

Fanverse. It's a bunch of anime shit. More active than nofap: https://www.fanverse.org/

Either you're a literal child or more time has passed than I realize and I am fucking old. (:_(
Kek. I'd say neither as I've rarely spent any time off of very specific places. This site is the only site I've added to my list of sites to regularly visit in about a decade.
Most of my life had little internet access to begin with, both when I was an actual child due to strict internet rules (which I'm thankful for) and somewhat now as an adult due to life fucking me in the ass like a fag on Viagra.
