I always get the impression that Phil’s gayness is based more around hero worship than actual sexual attraction. The development of his sexuality stopped some time around the age of 13, along with the rest of his mental and emotional development, so I think he’s stuck in that early adolescent state of emotional confusion between admiration, lust and self-assertion.

Arguably, he was interested in "Latinx" prior to the anime club, as the J-Lo interest is from earlier in High School. But I think some of the primary source evidence for that has been lost.

(Personally, I vote for the "absorption" hypothesis.)

Agree on all points. Our Heroine has no sexuality; it has never been nailed down and changes with the seasons, based entirely on whatever his current obsessive focus is. The same as the Latinx issue, he has a permeable ego-boundary and difficulty separating both reality/fantasy and himself/others.

I don't really class the Latin pop fetish as the start of the Latinx saga because it was just a period when a lot of people were into that kind of music.
It didn't go anywhere, Phil didn't transition into other Latin music beyond what was in the charts and he wasn't claiming it as his heritage.
To me it's the difference between a kid who likes rap, a kid who likes rap and acts ghetto and a kid who likes rap and not only acts ghetto but tells everyone who's Dr Dres bastard son (and clearly isnt).
When Phil became Jewish or Russian who did basic research and found historical and cultural evidence to back his claim of having descent from a jewish/Russian enclave but the Latinx thing tended to drop in and out as a phase.
Going way back there's a Facebook posts with him and Jordan and Co sperging out about the best pizza and Phil resorting to a who's the most Italian fight.
The Latinx Philsona only really kicks in once the ADF identity had become toxic with in his community, was a meme and Phil was anti jew at that point.

Did Phil ever get any kind help for his autism? Or was he fully mainstreamed?

I know Chris largely didn't (he only had some coping Classes in school).

I was going to concede this, but I've been working on the wiki and re-read stuff I forgot, and this is incorrect partially. Phil has on-and-off claimed to be Puerto Rican since as early as 2006; his original DeviantArt was with the name "Felipe V. Delicias" to intentionally imply hispanic heritage. It waxes and wanes in importance depending on what his obsession is at a given time -- for example during the Kourine saga, Naruto yaoi took precedence, and therefore the necessary Japaneseness overshadowed the latin@.

But, I do agree the "real" Latinx saga didn't start until later, when it fused with the SJW oppression-claiming.

ADF had an official diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome, papers which he later tore up (there's a pic somewhere). He went to a vocational school and had some sort of special education help there....I think I used to know where but I'm forgetting now. He had "supported employment" at Wawas, which is one reason he had that job for so many years. I got the impression his college time had some sort of special needs assistance too, I think from something Dusty journaled about, but it escapes me at the moment. We also know he has an older brother who is much more developmentally disabled than himself, who, as far as we know, is in some sort of assisted living facility.

So, partially mainstreamed, but cared for until adulthood, more or less. Recall that ADF's infamy doesn't start until he was on DeviantArt, and he was already in his early 20s then.

I'm just saying there's a huge gulf between using the non-Anglican version of his name and writing epic levels of fanfic to explain his new Philsona.
It's so easy to find a random act in Phil past and assume it had greater meaning in hindsight.
Like finding a picture of Phil in his mother's heels as a baby and declaring it proves he was always trans (Phil even used this point) or that the only woman he ever fucked was a Latinx lesbian which became Phils transition goal.
So long as phils father is Angelo he has a (somewhat) limited claim to his heritage but not the actual back story he later wrote.
I guess my point is Phil called himself Felipe but Chris called himself Carlos both are autistic so make of it what u will

@MMX Fair enough. I deff agree people read way too much into ADF's actions. The majority of it is simply perfectly common aspergers symptoms, albeit inflated by the internet and external situation. ....To be honest, there was some discussion a couple years back that the only reason Phil cycles back to previous obsessions/interests is that there exists a record of it. A look at the timeline leads to speculation that without the internet, Phil would be at home with his mother, making Australatina maps eternally, updating them as something new captures his interest for a while, before moving onto the next map. Makes me wistful tbh.

Phil's had sex with more than one person, though.

Also I was under the impression there is 0 evidence of any Puerto Rican on Angelo's side, but I don't know if that was ever confirmed. (If anyone knows I'd appreciate sources.)

Back on the old ADF wiki there was actually a video interview / call to phil that Angelo made and some pictures of him. I couldn't 100% say the guy was Puerto Rican but definitely Latin heritage. The video was were the true origin of daddy rape day was discovered.
Angelo seemed a pretty chill guy and wanted to reconnect with Phil and even forgive him for the shit he talked about him. He ran personal ads in local papers trying to reach out to him after Phil's mum separated from him.
There was apparently a copy of an arrest record of Angelo for back in the custody/divorce with Phil's mom which apparently confirmed it.
If he ever returns @ravenors your man

Eli i dont actually met phil it was on online thing. There was a couple of other online brides but the details are lost to the void.
John was in a relationship at the time and his relationship with Phil was fanfic phil had written for his journal. John hit the fucking roof when he found out what phil was claiming and turfed his ass out of the home he kindly let phil stay at.
Jordan confirmed he indulged Phil's bondage fetishism (basically he tied/chained him up) but drew the line at the figging.

The only story we have about Rika and Phil occurred during the epic transfer orgy. Tweaker, Rika, Jordan and Phil got high and decided to have a fuck pile. After stripping down everyone got a good look at what was on offer, put their clothes back on and never tried it again, this was the night of the infamous return to gloryhole picture.

Angelo would know better than us but I'm not saying he's pure Latino just that he's got some heritage.
The info came from Angelo himself on the ADF wiki. Again @Ravenor did an extensive dig into Phils family tree and heritage. Whilst his surname is certainly Italian records turned up less than 200 matches for the US and of those most records tended to match with turks or Algerians. Even birth records turned up more matches for France than Italy and those mostly seemed to be within Arab or African immigrants. Phil never really dug into his family tree when he wrote his epic "why I am Jewish and a girl" fanfic but the answers he needed were just a generation back.
But we can all agree Phil is Anglo-italian
