Megathread Random Thoughts & Questions - ADF

I've known about him for a while (because Chris), but I've only just started looking into him more, and I still don't know his full story, and I can't find it anywhere. I've read his ED article and on the Lolcow wiki, but that still leaves a pretty big gap; I basically know nothing about him after 2010. Can anyone fill me in?
 
i'm not an ADF lifer like some of you guys, so maybe someone can clarify this

his fictional yaoi nation used to be called 'australatina and beothukia'. the first name makes sense but the second one is a non-sequitur to my eyes, because 'beothuk' refers to an extinct tribe of canadian aboriginals. has he ever said why he called it 'beothukia'?

Here is a good random question. How a can a person as unfunny as Harel be such a popular not-Chris lolcow for so many years?

Humor is relative. Personally, I am amused by his shitty tattoos, Hispanic yaoi-land, and conviction that we're all a bunch of evil gamers obsessed with killing him.

This and to me it's just plain old morbid fascination. You know all those psychology experiments from the early 20th century with the incredibly interesting ramifications but can't repeated today because they would be completely unethical? Watching Phil is somewhat in the same vein for me. It's performance art at its best. None of us need to do a single thing to watch Phil destroy himself.

That's what I find extremely weird, as well. --- Well, that and Kinny changing her FB avatar to Republic of Newfoundland colours. (I'm sure it means something else in tumblr-land, but whatever!) Actually, them suddenly clinging to a provincial pride cash grab wouldn't be out of the question. The guy who is selling (He didn't create it) the merch is an unscrupulous bastard, from what I've been told.

Maybe he was just googling for tribes killed off by the white man, and found 'em... The rarer (ie. extinct) and more oppressed, the better in ADF's world.

Because it was located in New York and he was going for a Bosnia thing I think. Of course, that was back when he gave a shit about actual world building, even if it was only for the road signs.

So when was it that Harel attacked his crippled mother?

Honestly, my opinions on Harel's absolute uselessness in the lolcow community has brought about so my bias I used to consider it more worthless ADF news... But I thought more about it and yeah. This is by far one of the most horrible things I've heard of a lolcow doing. Not even Chris would swing at Barb if she trolled him.

The version I hear is back when he was working at that gas station his disabled mother asked him to chip in a small amount for food/rent and he chimped out and punched her.

Does he have any contact with his mother anymore? Or have they completely gone their separate ways? And why was he ultimately kicked out? Has he lived anywhere (except under bridges) since?

He's allegedly visiting her RIGHT NOW. He was kicked out for physically assaulting her when she suggested maybe he could contribute to the household expenses. He has lived with numerous people, but has managed to pathologically stab them in the back one by one. As others have pointed out, he's so obsessed with burning bridges, it's amazing he still has one to live under.
