And Enter actually seems to agree somewhat. But when he talks about an "atrocity" from the 90's or early 2000's, he's a lot more lenient than the extremely bitter and vitriolic reviews he gives modern cartoons. So while he's willing to admit that not all old cartoons were perfect, there's still a very heavy, nostalgia-based double standard.

I find it weird that Enter has such a strong sense of nostalgia when he claims to have had such a miserable childhood. Maybe his childhood really did suck and cartoons were the only thing that made him happy? If that's the case, that's actually pretty damn sad, even though it doesn't make him any less of a tard. But I think it's a lot more likely that Enter is exaggerating, or maybe even flat-out lying, about how bad his childhood was.

Well, I'm not ruling out the possibility that Enter suffered genuine abuse, but, to my knowledge, he's never elaborated on any of it, other than saying his mom was overbearing like Lois on Malcolm in the Middle. He claims mean-spiritedness in cartoons upsets him because he was abused, but he really just seems to get upset when something bad happens to a character he likes. I'm not saying it's impossible he was abused, and if he was, I really do feel bad for him, but the stuff he says doesn't really add up. It's sort of like the Tumblrina's who cry abuse when their parents won't respect their made-up pronouns or something. What Enter defines as abuse is very different from actual abuse.

This one's a lot spergier than the first, and a lot more bitter. Some highlights:

• Enter likes the Pokemon anime because it "teaches you how to play the game". Because of that, the sole reason he doesn't like the Viva Pinata cartoon is because it doesn't teach you how to play the game. Enter also rages about how the Viva Pinata game tutorial "LIES TO YOU". (If anyone here has actually played Viva Pinata, I'd love to know what he's talking about.)
• Enter hates the movie Barnyard and it's TV spinoff series because the male cows have udders, which make him think about penises.
• Enter thinks American Dad is a "spinoff" of Family Guy because it was made by the same people. In fact, take a drink every time he uses the word "spinoff" incorrectly.
• Enter recommends several films he's never seen as masterpieces of animation.
• More bitching about Spongebob.

Also, keep in mind that this is about Enter's opinion on various cartoons, not ours. I know it's tempting to give our own opinion about the stuff Enter reviews, but doing so makes these threads turn spergy very fast, so remember to keep discussion about the cartoons themselves to a minimum unless it directly relates to Enter's opinions.

None of them, really, not even Pokemon. It's based on the games, obviously, but I don't know where Enter got the idea that it teaches you how to play them. Whether game mechanics actually apply on the show or not varies depending on what works best for the plot.

Okay, let's see what we got here. This is just going to be a bunch of random thoughts I had while reading his stupid little journal entry.

Spoiler: Part 1

• "As Told by Ginger was fine, but Dora the Explorer was terrible, even for an early children's show." Oh my god, what is with these cartoon spergs and hating on Dora the Explorer?! Is that like some sort of requirement that you have to hate Dora to be a part of the animation fandom? Seriously, it's like everybody hates on Dora the Explorer for one reason or another. It's a show made for preschoolers. Who cares?
  
• "And we all know that Invader Zim was cut for some reason or another." For some reason? It was cancelled due to high costs of production and low ratings for its target demographic. I seriously do not understand why MrEnter can't afford to take about a minute to Google that up.
  
• "Well, this was a decade before Friendship is Magic and guys liking "girly" cartoons were kind of frowned upon." I could have sworn it still is. The only people who don't frown up guys watching "girly" cartoons are those in which the words "child predator" and "school shooter" are more than applicable.
• "...we got another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles revival, which was good despite the people who brought it to us. Don't think for a second that I'm not going to talk about 4kids." Really? Sperging about 4Kids? In 2015?
• "My Little Pony enters its third generation with Princess Promenade. Gag me." You know Friendship is Magic is not much different to its previous iterations, right? It's the same turd except it looks prettier and isn't a sight for sore eyes.
  
• "I bet you've never even heard of W.I.T.C.H." I have. Honestly, part of me wishes THAT was the popular girly show for guys to obsess over, because it actually wasn't too bad.
• "Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is a soulless piece of garbage." Oh come on now. Sure it wasn't fantastic, but it was entertaining enough, at least to me anyway.
  
• "Adult cartoons have 12 Oz. Mouse and Drawn Together, two cult classics which I absolutely do not like." Wow...what a shock. He doesn't like Drawn Together. Hang on, let me find my shocked expression.
• "Dreamworks released Shark Tale. But it's okay because they also release Shrek 2 permanently pigeon-holing them into "that company that makes CG movies pandering to the lowest-common denominator." How is Shrek 2 pandering to the lowest-common denominator? I and a slew of other people I know say that Shrek 2 is a funny and smart movie.

Spoiler: Part 2:

• "What the fuck happened?" Oh a lot happened in 2005. London Bombings, Patriots won the Super Bowl against the Eagles, 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, YouTube was launched...oh you're talking about children's cartoons.
  
• "There was also the Buzz on Maggie, which was almost exactly the same as the other copy and paste sitcoms that sunk the Disney Channel's reputation." Reputation of what? Being a network targeted mainly towards kids and pre-teens? Sounds like they're doing the same that they've always been.
  
• "And finally there's the Boondocks, which was heavily on point." I don't know why, but I have this feeling that MrEnter doesn't really understand The Boondocks in the same way that Chris-chan doesn't really understand Monty Python.
• "Movies are another story. Disney released Chicken Little and I absolutely hate this movie. You can see my review if you want my full thoughts on it. By the way, it was one of their biggest financial successes since Dinosaur. I guess the CGI is what the audiences wanted." Or...the audiences just wanted a nice, wholesome movie to take their kids to and enjoy. Honestly, am I the only one who though that Chicken Little wasn't awful like many spergs claim it is.
• "Corpse Bride, which felt like it was trying way too hard to recapture the magic of The Nightmare Before Christmas." No shit, because they both had the Tim Burton feel to it. I don't see how it was trying to be "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I didn't get that feeling when I watched it.
• "[Barnyard] is okay except for the one small fact that male cattle don't have fucking utters. You've got a main character who has four penises flapping around in the breeze." Male cattle don't have utters? Yeah well, hedgehogs are blue and can't run at the speed of sound, coyotes don't chase roadrunners with rocket skates, who really cares? And you actually looked at a male cartoon cow and you think of four penises? I'll take "repressed homosexuality" for $300, Alex.
  
• "Image Movers Digital released their version of Beowulf. Tell me Robert Zemeckis, did we really need a scene where the hero gets naked to find Grendel?" Scratch that, make that $500, Alex.
• "Are you really trying to make people horny for a creepy motion capture body?" Fuck it, I'm all in, Alex.
• "Monsters Vs. Aliens? It's okay." Oh no, a movie in which Stephen Colbert plays the President of the United States deserves more than a "okay."
• "How many new cartoons did this channel get? 0. ZERO. NONE. NOTTA. ZIP." Okay, I think I'm done here. I'm not going to sit through more sperging about Cartoon Network and CN Real block. Guys, it's been dead for some time. Let it go.
• "The internet allows increased access to buying and spreading the message about cartoons." And it was then when the animation fandom went to shit and went to shit fast.

Well anyway, those were my thoughts. Sorry if you actually read through all of that and read me sperging out a couple of times.
