Sudden thought, just throwing it out there because I find it vaguely interesting to ponder:

In 1994, Stephen Fry had a book published titled The Hippopotamus. A novel with a major theme of how we can all fall prey to seductive delusions, one of the main characters is a teenage boy convinced that he is a somewhat New Age Pagan faith-healer, and (spoilers in case you don't want a 25-plus-year-old-novel spoiled) said faith-healing revolves around various sexual acts with his patients - he fucks a grown woman suffering from cancer and a horse that's believed to be dying, bums a man with heart trouble, and has a cousin with bad teeth give him a blow-job. The thing is, in the context of the novel, he genuinely believes that this is what he needs to do to heal them through a lot of mumbo-jumbo about his precious life essence etc.

Maybe Chris really, really wants to believe that he did the same. It tallies almost exactly with the tone of how what he did was supposedly helping Barb, mentally and physically. Of course, the character in the novel is a good-looking athletic teenage boy who does it with a MILF, as opposed to a fat gross near-40-year-old and his geriatric Mum, and once more I feel the need to emphasise that Chris doesn't really believe that he can do any of this stuff - but that he really, truly wants to believe that he can.

So, while I have known of Chris for a while, the extent of my knowledge is that he was some weirdo who won a contest way back when, made some super-autistic comics, and somehow never improved artistically over years, and seemingly can't tell his comics from reality. Now that I've seen him go to jail, I'm curious.

What's the whole deal with chris? Why is he the way he is? Does he really not know whats real and what's not? Does he not realize he's a grown ass man? How did this all come to be?

I'm not convinced that he actually believes any of his fantasies. He desperately wants all of it to be true, and acts as if it were true in some attempt to make it real. It's all to avoid any consequences of his actions or adult responsibilities.

I was looking for somewhere to write this because I think I'd like to share this now that Christory is coming to an end and this seems like the most sensible place.

I'm not sure what year it was but it was back when youtube still had a messaging system on their site (before google plus).
I was making videos, am girl was 13-16 at the time didn't show my face and had a dumb cartoon character as an avatar (the account got banned from youtube and I'd rather not share the name), and I got a message from none other than Sonichu. He approached me with his Sonichu role play bullshit and from what I can remembered the words "sweetie" & "cutie" were used. Googled his name at the time and came across a video about our lord and savior Bob breaking the shit out of Chris's internet. At first I thought this was mean and then I scrolled down to the comments and fell down the rabbit hole.
I only ever sent a few messages back to the guy before ghosting him a short while after finding out about his crap.

I've never really told the story outside of close friends and because I was a dumb kid at the time I didn't realize, but it dawned on me recently that he was probably at least attempting to flirt with me on some level in his dumb Sonichu messages.
Just wanted to share somewhere as its been getting under my skin this past week or so.

They all know.

The most insight we get into the family is probably going to be from the court case.

Nobody is going to comment, at least for a few years. A few reasons:
1) talking to the internet about your mother-raping brother is something only an insane person would do
2) chris going to prison means they all get reduced scrutiny from us, the bird barn retards - i doubt any of them are really thrilled about even being mentioned adjacent to chris, and the prospect of him being taken out of play for a few years probably has them breathing a sigh of relief

Maybe one will end up writing an essay for the atlantic or talk to a documentary about mental health services in this country, but reiterating: despite the unusual sample of people featured on this website, a sane person isn't going to talk to the internet about their relative being raped by her son.

BTW, I don't think it's really "fair" to bring in otherwise innocent, normal people in to the blast radius of CWC's horrible actions. IMO anyone trying to reach out to the family during this period of strife and trauma is a ween.

Chris's step-siblings from Bob's previous marriage probably do their best to avoid having any involvement with them whatsoever. That attitude isn't unreasonable given they really don't have any connection to Chris or Barb. However, Cole is pure fucking evil if he won't involve himself in this somehow after finding out what happened to Barb. They may have had their issues with Barb's abuse and everything, but I would hope the gravity of the situation would be enough for someone with any semblance of a conscience to take notice and overlook the unsavory nature of Barb's earlier days.
