Is there anything different between a Gaybian and a Tomgirl?

Well, neither of them are real words. A "gaybian" is a meaningless term invented by Chris in a devious ploy to avoid calling himself gay. A "tomgirl" is a term invented by someone else which is apparently the male equivalent of a tomboy. Although logically, I would have thought a tomgirl would be an effeminate guy, not a transvestite. In Bangkok slang, a tom is a butch lesbian and in London slang it's a prostitute, both of which are quite apt.

I just noticed Anna hasn't commented on hits posts in a while, any ideas on what happened?

With his eBay sales, taint piercing, male lesbianism, and Sonic ranting, any attempt at attention-seeking from her will be lost in the ether. She is officially a bigger loser than Chris. Maybe she could use that as her selling point?

Here is a random thought/question that I have been pondering:

A common reaction to Chris current entrepreneurial spirit is: "It's about time he cashed in on his e-fame. Why did it take him this long to figure it out?"

It seems that he had to go through a lot of his lolcowness to cash in on the fame. Clearly he couldn't have gone on eBay in 2006 and said "here is my terrible comic, buy some merch."

If he had tried before the height of the trolling, reactions might have been mixed as well. It would have seemed a little like he was acting like a lunatic to shill his crappy products.

I am sure he could have started selling his crap a couple years ago, but maybe not much before that.

I concur. I guess selling during or shortly after the height of trolling wouldn't have worked.

But I guess he could have started to sell things at least a few years ago like in 2012 or something. I guess the housefire was the big gamechanger, I don't know how much it affected Chris' finances, but it certainly got some reaction out of him and it all lead to him making art. I seriously doubt he would have sold merch if it hadn't been for the hoardocaust.

Hard to tell, but when you try to read between the lines in his video, I guess there was something semi-mutual. At least a friendship, I guess. We know Chris has a habit of thinking he's in a relationship for no reason, still the way he worded it made it look like there was some back and forth that (for once) wasn't just her telling him to back off and realize they never had a relationship. I guess only time will tell...

Ever since Chris got big on the internet, have there been signs of positive development in him (linguistic, mental, physical)? I know there's been a lot of degeneration (obesity, hair, etc) but it's interesting to see what's happened that's a bit more positive.

I was comparing his earlier videos to more recent, and I noticed that from what I can see from the "Catherine" video, that in some ways his speaking ability has improved somewhat, as it flows more and he doesn't constantly stutter or steal quotes from family guy.

This is not the case. The point of the video was to strengthen the relationship. Any impression one might have received that the relationship is over is the result of Chris's failure to speak English. Marvin has confirmed this.

He's at least trying to get some money for himself now with the eBay sales, but his spending habits are still pretty bad. But still, in spite of the fact that he doesn't manage his money very well, it could be argued that this is like a baby step forward for him, because at least now he's trying to do a little bit of work for a little bit of money.

Some of his more recent status updates seem to suggest that he's becoming more tolerant of gay people. The common theory on the forum is that he's doing this to gain acceptance from the LGBT community now that he's come out as an intersex transgender tomgirl male-identified lesbian (or something like that) or that someone behind the scenes has forced him to say this. That could very well be true, so I guess whether or not this tolerance is a legitimate improvement depends on whether it's something that sticks or whether it fades away in the next few months (or whenever Catherine is discernibly out of the picture).

That being said, this LGBT stuff has gotten him out of the house and socialising a little more, which is probably a good thing for his sake. He has gone to a Pride Parade in his local area, where he probably mostly kept to himself, but from what I can tell from the photos he uploaded to Facebook, he did look legitimately happy to be there.

He's also lined up to go to some community event ran by one of the churches in the area where they'll be watching the documentary Wish Me Away, which is the coming out story of Chely Wright. This is happening in the next couple of days, I believe.

Obviously over the last few years, he's been a lot less responsive to just random people who want to troll him. There still are people who are working to troll him, but it's a much more long term thing now than it was during the Golden Age, and Catherine is the first sweetheart that's arisen since Bob's death. I think the only real improvement on Chris' part here is that he's learned not to respond to every person who sends him an email pretending to be a girl interested on him; the rest is mainly the trolls being a lot more careful with how they go about trolling him.

If you're going to argue that Chris has improved at all, these are probably the points that need to be covered.

It's pretty difficult to answer this without going into a-log territory, so I suppose I'll have to go ahead and give the disclaimer before I begin this post in earnest.

I don't think they will, but this isn't entirely because of Chris' nature; this is also because of some of the other circumstances in his life right now. Because of Chris and Barb's bad money management skills, they're really on the rocks right now. Unless they get 14BC fixed up before their insurance company stops paying the rent on the rental home, they'll either be living on the streets or filing for bankruptcy fairly quickly. They may even have to file for bankruptcy anyway, because right now they really are in a lot of debt and I'm not entirely sure if they'll be able to pay it all off effectively.

There's also the fact that Chris is pretty lazy. I think what will probably happen is that he'll get to the point where he's no longer willing or able to keep up with the orders people are placing on him, and he'll just stop doing it.

As for the LGBT stuff, a lot of the discussion of that is pretty hypothetical, and I can see that going either way. It could very well be that he's doing it for attention or that his new sweetheart is making him be more tolerant of gay people in general, but again, from the pictures he uploaded from the Pride Festival, he did seem to be quite enjoying himself. I think there is a possibility that even after Catherine leaves the picture, he'll still continue his new-found tolerance of LGBT people simply because of the enjoyment he gets from that community, but I think speculating too far in that direction is a little optimistic.

I think it's more likely that he's going to eventually offend someone at one of these events pretty badly and end up being barred from attending that event. The question is whether he'll do it at subsequent, unrelated LGBT events as well, or if he'll learn his lesson from this first mistake.


I think the worst case scenario for how he's going to end up in ten years, even if Barb hasn't hit the bucket, is that he'll be homeless or in jail. I can see him being homeless if he and Barb are unable to keep up with their debts, or if they haven't had 14BC fixed by the time the insurance company stops paying their rent and the landlord kicks them out for some reason.

As for jail, Chris has already been in trouble with the law for some of the drama with Michael Snyder and even went to court over it. He's been banned from several other shops in his area, so I can see things getting to the point where Chris ends up having a similar situation happening with a manager at the local Target or something like that and this time the courts might not be so forgiving of him.

The worst-case scenario would involve Chris severely offending the LGBT community, which is something that a lot of people on this forum, including myself, believe is going to happen eventually. So he'll become an outcast from one of the only groups of people who don't totally hate him yet, and after that I don't really think there's going to be a lot of people who are going to be willing to put up with him.

The best case scenario involves him actually being able to sustain his eBay sales, and maybe getting a part-time job at Walmart or somewhere like that on the side, maybe on the night shift. He'll stop adding to his debt and he'll actually start paying it off with more than just the minimum payments. Also, he'll remain involved in the LGBT community, and maybe--if this isn't too optimistic--find a girlfriend who isn't a troll and isn't another Wallflower or Megan Schroeder scenario.

That depends entirely on how he well he learns to cope with Barb eventual passing. Thing is though, no matter how well he learns to handle some things, he'll always be messed up. It took him a lifetime to get to where he is now, a few years would barely even begin to undo all the bullshit.

Excluding death for the worst case option, that's kinda difficult to answer. There's so much bad shit that can befall a person that pinning down an exact worst case scenario is very difficult.

Best case on the other hand, I'd say he fades away into obscurity and spends the rest of his days playing with legos and vidya.

Of course if Blob hasn't gone to the Great Hoard Pile below by that time then I'd say no matter how well he's doing he'll be a wreck when it finally happens. There really is no "best scenario". Just varying levels of how fucked he's going to be.

It's not backwards compatible. The PS3 itself was his life upgrade. The PS4, without sufficient motivation, is just yet another jerk console that has to seduce him into buying it.

Chris doesn't have a habit of believing relationships are more than they are. If Chris say he has a "girlfriend" (no space), it's extremely likely he believes he has a legit girlfriend.

Assuming some ween didn't shoop this, it looks fairly plausible. Facially he looks like he could be a younger Bob, we know he was an engineer in his younger days. The time and place line up. Although he looks pretty miserable in that photo - do you think Chris used the Time Void to show him what the future held?
