Would Chris give up this whole "Lesbian Transwoman" facade for a girl?
He resisted his mother, but if there was a girl and there was the promise of sex and the potential of a relationship, and her ONLY condition was that he stop pretending to be Christine and go back to being Chris because she wants to be with a man, not a woman; would he oblige?
I'm honestly uncertain. Chris goes through phases, but this one has lasted a long time. However, a sweetheart has been his lifelong goal, and even he knows how abysmal his prospects are. I mean sure, he'd probably try to convince her to let him have his cake and eat it too, but if it came down to the choice of being a woman or having a relationship, which would he go for?

It's an interesting question. Chris seems to have had weird gender issues for a while and I think Christine is a manifestation of that. I think the only person who can say if Chris is really trans, is Chris and he says it is real. Christine has been here for a very long time now, and if Barb aka the person who can put the fear of God into Chris, couldn't stop Chris from cross-dressing then I doubt some mythical sweetheart could.
Christian is rather unpleasant. Christine is also unpleasant, but gets sjw points for being trans with a lesbian soul, and has more of a chance of finding a sweetheart then Christian.(that's not to say I think Christine will ever have her Lovely Weather, I just think she has a better chance at it then Christian ever did.)

I think that it's pretty obvious that he started this in the first place to find a sweetheart because of the conception that lesbian and bisexual women don't have very strong standards. It would also explain his sudden interest in and "activism" for feminism. He'd do anything to end his love quest, even change his legal name and pierce then cut open his taint just for the hope of finding an easy girl.
Now I'm not saying that he hasn't convinced himself that he really wants this for himself, but the root of all of this is the hope of a sweetheart. That's why he started out just trying to be more feminine which obviously didn't work. Since he's slow-in-the-minds he just figured that he should be ultra feminine to the point where he'd take all of the stereotypical female traits, high pitched voice, bras, menstrual pads, makeup, etc. even though most lesbians/feminists usually don't even agree with those societal norms.
Since this isn't working for him this could continue with three different outcomes:
1. He'll continue becoming more and more feminine and spiral out of control
2. He'll actually learn something for a change and return to Christian
3. He'll wake up and realize that his love quest won't ever end and he will commit suicide

What's with Chris and the French flag? Does he know that France only, legally, recognizes 2 genders and their third gender is for people who were "BORN" as an intersex and not for people who choose to change their sex.

Originally, he had it to show solidarity with France after the 2015 ISIS attack. He put the flag back on after Trump took office, because apparently someone he hates being democratically elected president is on par with terrorism.

Then again, on second though, he does go against Barbs wishes with that stuff too and I have to say that that amazed me. I dunno, now I'm kinda split in the middle. Would he, wouldn't he? I mean it IS precious China and if history has taught us anything he's willing to do anything for some hanky-panky.

Yes, him going against Barb is big. But remember, there's really nothing in it for Chris when it comes to appeasing his mother. Sure, she may threaten to kick him out, but I think even Chris may have realized that without Bob in the picture, Barb couldn't really back up her threats. (because otherwise, who would take care of her?)
So he probably felt reasonably safe in defying her.
But a sweetheart? Totally different animal. Regular sex and the companion he's ALWAYS WANTED. And his only entrance fee is he needs to go back to being Chris.

That's the thing: Chris would never believe that it actually would come down to that choice.
About a year ago, we were discussing this same issue and I said that you can force Chris into saying whatever you want, but you can't change his mind.
Why is it obvious?

No, Chris is still scared shitless of Barb.
Something to keep in mind is that, most of the time, Barb and Chris actually get along super well. Of course, it's come from a lifetime of brainwashing and emotional abuse, but still, it's rare for Barb and Chris to strongly disagree about something. Like the next biggest disagreement between them I can think of is that Chris dislikes the hoarding. But the hoarding is a mild annoyance to Chris, so he doesn't really fight it.
Barb opposing the tomgirl shit was like if she took a sack of all his favorite transformers and legos, and dumped it on the driveway and set it all on fire in front of his face. That's why he fought it so hard, and ultimately won.

Doubtful. Why exactly Chris went tranny is a riddle for the ages (unless you believe the extensive trolling somehow drove him into tranny martyrdom) but it seems to be much more to him than a get-laid-quick scheme.
I think he honestly tried to reinvent himself and sees his current form as an improvement over his former one. And he did make some friends and went to a nightclub, if rarely. He has zero interest in changing back into classic Chris.
