Be the stepdad. According to Cole, Bob was a crazy TV stereotype of a republican. Cole is pretty bitter about Barb being a trashy whore. From what we can tell, Bob was a pretty mild republican and Cole only lived with him for a year. I'd just go ahead and trust Cole's word, had he known Bob longer, but as things are, I think he's just bitter (understandably).

If Chris and Barb go homeless ( which is very possible in the next 5 years), is there anywhere they could go besides the homeless shelter? Cole hates them, and they're credit is shit so they wouldn't be able to rent an apartment or house with their tugboats. Mabey spoon in their car?
