Chris probably wants desperately for CWCville to be a real place. He didn't fall for this because he's stupid, he fell for this because he wants it to be true.
You can be both stupid and desperate, those two adjectives aren't mutually exclusive.
So when Josh presented audio from "the real" CWCville, it finally told Chris that he's not crazy and that he actually has god powers and can create life.
Josh presented a CWCville that's in a deep crisis, which Chris immediately believed when provided with evidence. Josh's main game was "Hey Chris, I'm from CWCville, and I can help you communicate with all your friends in there".
I think Chris knows that CWCville is an imaginary place under his complete control, but chooses to pretend that he is just part of it with no real "god" control, and when things get tough, his go-to solution is to retake godmode and steer things to his liking.
The reason I say this is because when things got tough in there, Chris tried to use his "Creator's Powers" to change things back to his happy place.
Take the Jamsta molestation stuff for example, Chris tried to use his "psychic powers" on the judge to acquit Jamsta, because "He shouldn't have to suffer through jail like I did" (paraphrasing), Ballzy told him that it didn't work, so he tried using it on the Jurors instead, Ballzy told him that it worked and Jamsta was freed, but that sparked Rodney King-style protest riots throughout CWCville.
In other words, Ballzy played a trick on Chris, he would come to him with horrifying event A, Chris would try changing it to happy event B, Ballzy tells him that this didn't work, and Chris's attempt to fix things ended up with the even more horrifying event Z.
Well Marvin did say that he believed Chris would jump off a building if Idea Guy told him to, and as deeply entrenched in this fantasy world as he is, I think it's very possible. Really, I think sending Chris to the Game stop he got banned from could have ended very badly. Who knows what else this guy had him do or planned for the future.
I noticed on this Sonichu page at the bottom, Chris mentions going to Cwcville; actually visiting it in the real world. I have to wonder if there was some plan in place that he thought would allow him to cross over some time in June of this year. Some sort of portal he could open via his new psychic powers from binaural beats maybe?
I think Marvin's assertion is correct, Chris was highly suggestible throughout this whole affair.
And I don't know about the June 2018 thing (My last talk with Josh was Dec 19th), but even then, I expected Ballzy to be feeding him powers lore, because Chris, normally a confrontation-averse person, was feeling strangely emboldened to seek out antagonism with Cole. When asked how he would find Cole's address, he replied that he would be using his psychic powers.
I assume the June 2018 deadline was Ballzy's way of defusing that particular conflict for now, but we won't know for sure.
