Does anybody remember when Chris took his Mom to his High School Prom? The foreshadowing is Terrifying now.

my prom time was way earlier but i don't remember there being any negative stigma attached to going solo and meeting up with friends once you got there. way better then having mommy there.

maybe you're right. or maybe chris thought you were required to have a date? like, another thing television taught him.

It's actually speculated he didn't even go to prom but some early morning Brunch type thing the same day as prom because all the photos of the "prom" are in the early morning with the light still out. It's possible Barb told him that was prom to get him content withiut having to follow him around at 12 AM.

For the pictures I saw on the cwciki you are right that they are in the daytime. It could be a school dance not necessarily prom itself and Barb tagged along.
Looking at the pictures there are no corsages and boutonnieres in the pictures shown and maybe because of different ways for prom but it is more casual in the pictures than a formal prom.
