@Hogar Grupal We posted at the same time and I can't add your message to quote it but Nope - It was paid work for GE he was included on the patent but he was not the patent holder, it's like Henry Ford being on every Ford patent even if he did non of the work as he paid for it and owned the work. It's essentially a way of recognising the engineers involved in doing the work and letting them add to there CV's etc they might get a bonus for there work but the company owns it as a Company IP / Company Work product.
If Bob invented it and Sold the licence to GE that would be the same, but if Bob invented it and licenced it to GE for ongoing use and payments then he could but as I said that's not the case as he was paid by GE to do the work as a member of staff.
