In your opinion, what situation would break Chris out of his dimension bullshit?

Many people, including me, thought that jail would cut the bullshit off, but it didn't. What hypothetical situation do you think would break Chris's larp?

Even a physically fit and healthy person couldn't survive the sheer force of the reality check that's necessary for that.

Nothing. This question interests me a lot though so I’ve thought about it a bit. The reason that I think this is that the merge didn’t develop out of nowhere; it’s just an escalation of his desire to will his fantasies into existence that’s been there since day one. Deep down, Chris knew that Santa wouldn’t bring him a girlfriend, but he chooses to act out that fantasy. Likewise, every successful troll saga was just inviting Chris to live out a fantasy, but then confronting him with a whacky problem that would come with it. “Hey Chris! The entire world loves sonichu. But oh no, you have to get to Seattle to meet with Nintendo or else the moment of opportunity will vanish!”

In my opinion, Chris didn’t fall for trolls because he was gullible and naive. He fell for them because he liked escaping to the roll they asked him to play. Take the man in the pickle suit. I find it impossible that Chris didn’t know deep down that the girl was in on the joke; one of his first comics was about a girl asking him out as a prank. Instead, he chooses to play pretend as if she was stolen by an almost cryptid-like figure.

The fantasy could change, but he’ll never snap out of it.

Some traumatic event that might burst his inflated ego like getting beat up, especially if he instigates something deserving of it but Chris always seems to get special treatment everywhere he goes due to his autism and now identifying as trans which only makes things worse so he’s always sheltered from consequences and nothing will change.

I'm pretty sure there were some moments of clarity where he began to realize all his reality cartoon shit was a cope, But he repressed his own sanity because the truth hurts.

I feel like Chris needs the larp more than ever in jail, and he will continue to cling to it. Who would want to be a sad guy in a jail cell when they could be Jesus with lots of hedgehog friends?

I'm not sure if he decided it for himself, but he claimed to have been a hippy lesbian who attended the Woodstock festival. I'm not even sure if Chris thought said hippy lesbian was dead - his comprehension of reincarnation is probably as lacking as it is in all other spiritual/metaphysical matters.

Does anyone else somewhat like Sonichu the comic (Original 10 canon)? It's kind of a post-post-modenrn comic that starts of as a naive Children's story about a hedgehog, his girlfriend and a mayor who just can't get a girlfriend, transforms into a story about said mayor fighting an evil witch that wants to prevent anyone from dating one another with the help of cartoon hedgehogs, and in the finale turns into a gay and troll genocide where said mayor declares himself a hero worthy of a holiday after.

If Sonichu was written just a little bit better, it would fit as an adult swim show. Hell some of the characters are even likeable too, like Sonichu himself. His inability to tell troll works from real pictures, his throwing up from insults, his unhinged rants about his sexuality, him considering choosing Chris' mayorship over his wife's life, him getting married without making a big deal about it, and supporting of his transgirlfriend during a time of anti-LGBTQ hysteria in CWC-ville, really makes him stand out as a character. At some points it's hilarious and some points respectable.

I mean he did help commit mass genocide of trolls but who hasn't done something wrong once in their life? Also Sonichu never once ranted against the homos if I recall correctly, just asserting he himself wasn't one and that it's slander to say so because in his mind if a dude in lipstick identifies as a woman, it doesn't mean he's gay sucking her feminine dick. He was a bit closeted and insecure methinks.

Absolutely agree. I’m not totally with you about it being good if it “was written better” but I think it would take an immensely talented person to replicate some of the entertaining bizarreness.

Chris might be trainable, but it would require doing things that western civilization would find inhumane. Like Clockwork Orange level shit. A shock collar that gave him pain every time he said something batshit, etc., coupled with rewards when he behaved the right way. Chris will probably never be able to plan well for the future, or be able to defer gratification, but he could be forced into a healthy routine. The key is *forced*, through immediate rewards and consequences for good and bad behavior.
