What I don't get is why this particular Britcom appeals to Chris. Monty Python I get, it's a lot of Random-Access Humour. But this is a sitcom all about social climbing and pretentiousness, which I can't see Chris finding all that funny. In fact, given his use of British spelling, his harping on about his "royal blood," his claims of ancestors on the Mayflower and his made-up "Cherokian" heritage, he's basically exactly the sort of person Keeping Up Appearances was targeting.

I read in a book once that autists don't know the difference between positive attention and negative attention. A bully in other people's eyes may seem like a friend in an austist's eyes.

Granted, those are children with steep challenges, that they cannot tell the difference between fuzzie-wuzzies and prickly-wicklies. Even our hero Chris thought that people throwing change at him, then picking it up, did not constitute bullying, since he says he was never bullied at Manchester High.

They have been doing this for the last decade,
The BBC hasn't had that many successes of it's own and will do anything to keep what it has popular, it also sold of a lot of it's IP to other stations and production companies to be able to fund rather unfunny people to make new comedies (I am looking at you Sandi Toksvig & Meranda Heart) that haven't panned out and trying to move shows from it's Radio 4 Comedy area into the realm of TV with little or no luck.

Dr.Who is the epitome of this, it was largely forgotten and wasn't rerun ever until they took a punt and rebooted it it's now been back on screens and for some reason it found success over in america and they will do anything to keep it popular and in the public mind. They are tying to do the same with "Dad's Army" but it's time has long passed and they have used people in the recent film who are BBC stalwarts rather than people who are good in the roll's. This is why Rowan Atkinson made sure he has kept the IP for Mr.Bean to himself as he is tired of the roll an the character and doesn't want it rebooted even though the BBC would love to do it to sell outside of the UK.

As for why Chris like's this, it's simple and predictable comedy and has a lot of visual gag's, that have a really bad laugh track played on them so even when he doesn't get the joke he can join in (It's the audio equivalent of a Applause sign), when he doesn't understand what's going on he looks and listens for clues on how to act or react to a situation and in this case it's prity forced and obvious so he can clap his hands and go "yay" or force a chuckle at the right time.

I'd like to know if he watches and get's most of the jokes in more obscure or genuinely funny british comedy like Red Dwarf or Blackadder where the comedy isn't as forced and has a basis in historical fact in the case of blackadder that you have to really get satire and irony to find funny.

I always wondered if OPL's feelings would change after being told that the British Royal Family is German. In that they changed their name to The House of Windsor during the first world war. And/Or that English genetics is a blend of viking, roman, french et all people occupying the soil over some point of time. Would he still be proud of essentially the world shooting a load into a cup and mixing it fanta and pouring it over the British Isles?

But then again, when you live in a world where a dog house is like 5-10 tonnes. Hrmpf. I'll just A-log myself. :story::ow:

Not really, Mummy knows best and has told him he is related to Royalty so that's all that matters to him.

Like most Americans Chris has no idea how monarchy works and understands some one has a funny hat an sits on a rather ornate chair and get's money and power for doing so, the often cyclical gentics involved mean nothing to him.

Hey Marvin, you've said a number of times that Chris believes that he is already a beautiful woman, with the penis being the only aberration. He's accomplished his supposedly D-cup breasts, and he thinks he looks like Britney Spears. So can you maybe explain what he means in his recent videos when he says he's "transitioning very well"? What more needs to be done?

He want's a full Duckectomy but no medical professional would ever sign off on anything like that for OPL because even a cursory glance will tell them that boy's not all there.

I was already of the opinion this is essentially just a new attraction sign for him and a way to have a easier time of it not having any of the traditional masculine responsibilities to take care of but the last two videos have really reinforced that viewpoint for me, even hanging around in a LGBT club and events for that community havent really softened his stance on Gay's or Men in general.

He is the same old Chris under the poorly fitting women's clothes, in a few years when he reality finds a way of getting it into his head that "Tom Girl" isn't working he will move on to something else equally bizarre on the ever lasting quest for China.

I'm kind of reminded of the infamous "He's fat! Iiiiiii'm thin!" video. Chris will say literally anything to get a victory over someone.

I'd be interested to see what happens if someone tried now to get one over on Chris by claiming to be stronger and more masculine.

For a noticeable amount of time, people thought that Chris had genuinely become a more pleasant person because he wasn't constantly attacking trolls and wasn't showcasing how much of an unpleasant person he still is on the inside, so it's understandable that people knocked him up two points on their scales of respect. Therefore "losing respect" for Chris can be a genuine thing because you could say he was acting in a respectable manner in contrast to his previous self.
