It depends on the tard home and the other inmates.

Some of the more or less independent living tard homes allow and even encourage library access because their inmates are more or less responsible about their library privileges. However a lot of tard homes don't like library access for their inmates because they don't like dealing with all the late fees and missing books etc. These often maintain small libraries in-house.

Three guesses which sort of placement Chris will get.

Also "near" for you or me is far different from what Chris would consider "near".

That's the thing, they're not "inmates". They're "residents", or for medical homes they're "patients". These are not civil commitment facilities, and they can only encourage their residents to stay there, not lock them in.

Sometimes they threaten to remove you if you leave in an unplanned fashion, but you're never actually barred from leaving.

Sometimes they'll even have a bus to help residents get around to stores and such. Tard homes often run those with a wrangler to manage them, like a school field trip. Legally they can't stop the residents from wandering off, but they can remind them to get back to the bus.

There *are* tard homes specifically for people who have legal guardians, where they can control the movements of the residents, but Chris has not been adjudicated as incompetent.

More likely, however, we will have a pretrial hearing where a deal is announced and Chris enters his guilty plea.

Inmates, residents, patients, indwellers, clients, denizens, whatever. "Inmate' is not specific to incarceration, but I'm not going to get bogged down in definitions.

The point is some managed care homes trust their clients with trips to libraries etc. Some don't. Not all "crazy" people are irresponsible, just selectively incapable, but Chris definitely is irresponsible.

Some even prefer it that way. For the entire time their residents are unofficially on the street, the home can continue to collect for "housing" them but without the burden of having to feed, clean after, or deal with them. Win-win.

Most do. Usually it's some sort of van. Sometimes it's even mandatory to have transportation for things like doctor appointments etc. They like to limit the number of trips by combining schedules, making one big trip every week for everyone instead of lots of little trips. One place I know also keeps a prius for any unschedulable side trips for individual residents. I asked, "Why a prius?" one time. It's because the other residents get jealous if it's anything nicer. Yes, even speds look down on a prius.

The point is libraries are usually not included on these trips, large or small. Doctors are a necessity. Meds are a necessity. Food is a necessity. Library books that are likely to be lost or ruined are a hassle. And they are definitely not going to make special trips to the library just for Chris so he can violate the internet ban in his plea deal.

It's also really practical. Prius is super reliable and needs very little more than basic servicing like oil changes. The electric motor reduces wear and tear on the engine. The main battery pack lasts for hundreds of thousands of miles, and ironically it's the regular 12V lead acid cell that dies first usually.

They're just going off what they knew at the time of Chris's arrest. Chris was charged two days after the events came to light, probably less than 48 hours, at a time where Barb's evaluation hadn't been completed, nor had any interview with Chris besides a cursory one at his house had been completed, for a charge that is so strange, so out of the ordinary and barely codified in Virginia law. The court had enough to charge Chris, but I believe had not gotten all the information out. Could Chris be legit nuts? Could it just be "the trolls". Could it be exaggerations?

The court found enough evidence to charge him to get him into custody. One thing everybody forgets is that the judge told Chris flat out at his bond hearing, revoking bail was for the safety of himself as well as the general population. That's pretty harsh for a misdemeanor.

What I have a hard time buying, is that going off Virginia law, it's a felony to fuck your parents. It's really clearly laid out, but it's also extremely rare. To the court, forgetting all the weenery and going off what Chris and probably Barb had admitted in the first 48 hours, there was something going on. So Heilberg is going to argue what? If the dick is crooked, the tard ain't book-ed?

Probably asked already somewhere in the thread but who are the 8 guys Barb slept with according to Chris? Bob and Cole's father are two but who are the rest? Someone should write Chris and ask him to list them all because apparently she discussed this in depth with him.

I cant help but feel like Talking about chris is kicking a dead horse. Probably has been for years.
Yet after the motherfucking saga this all feels like people getting giddy over- fuck idk what to call it.
Its just building the ego of this fuck while he sits in a cage. Not to mention all the new edgy kids who want to plant their flag in chris history
