Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Can there be a section on the CWCki detailing Chris's Oedipus complex in a more in-depth way? I've heard bits and pieces about it here and there, but would love to see a more definitive piece written.

There are only bits and pieces because that's all we have in terms of evidence. All we can do is armchair psychology, and these articles tend to be highly speculative and boring. However, I agree that the Barb article on the CWCki could say more about the relationship between Chris and Barb and what Chris thinks about her, in order to parallel the articles about Bob and Cole.

There is a user talk page or alike that covers the theories we have about Chris and Barb in very even and quite interesting way, I came across it a while ago I will see if I can find it again.

Speaking of comparing Chris and Barb, I recently had a thought. Barb uses Chris as a care-taker. Chris, being somewhat dependent on her and being her son, feels obligated to obey Barb. Chris could theoretically do the same thing with a child of his own.
I know that Chris ever having a biological child is impossible, but Chris could potentially adopt. His autism might disqualify him, but to my understanding adoption agencies in the U.S will give pretty much anyone a chance due to the lack of willing adopters. And doubly so with older children who are less appealing to potential adoptive parents.
A child coming from an adoption agency probably wouldn't consider the newly re-built 14 Branchland Court all that bad, and a monthly stipend would cover much of what Chris would spend on food and such. The child, living under Chris, would never learn how to live independently and would ultimately be stuck in much the same situation Chris is in now.
Chris could become Barb by adopting an autistic child and training it to do his bidding. This would allow Chris to continue his current lifestyle indefinitely, if he could manage the tugboat(s) well.

Single men are not usually considered good candidates for adoption.

There have been plenty of cases of people adopting autistic children, throwing them in the basement, and collecting a stipend for years. Chris is, in the eyes of the state, a legal adult with a relatively clean record, stable income and a large property.

True, but even in normal circumstances Chris still comes off as weird, if this where a situation involving the welfare of a child (oh the irony) the answer to Chris's application wouldn't just be no it'd be FUCK NO.

He's obviously not mentally capable of taking good care of himself let alone another child, he has a whole host of other mental issues besides autism, has a criminal record most of which can be believed to be violent in nature, his home is a mess and at one point could have been considered unfit for occupation (pre fire). His financial situation would preclude this as well because while it's stable he has debts that could be considerd unmanageable and is intended for a single person.

There's a lot of speculation regarding Barb's current status. Has anybody tried asking Chris directly, on FB or any other medium? He seems to listen to lunatics like Watermelon easily enough.

Is Chris even good at video games?

A lot of people swear up and down that Chris sucks at video games, which is one of the reasons he sticks to stuff for kids. Even if he is good at video games, would it matter? They're toys, and Chris isn't "Good" at anything that matters.

When did Barb say "get off before I go off"?

During a call with Clyde Cash after the Emily date. "Use the pokeflute!"
