Don’t get your hopes up. From my understanding as a new observer of Chris, this will be the day where he will be deemed competent or incompetent to stand trial. Given his letters, I don’t think he’ll be deemed competent.

I expect to hear him whining about wherever the jail stuffs him. He has 30 days until they can give up looking for somewhere to put him.

I know better than to hope for anything with Chris, but I'm really looking forward to a tard home saga, with an all new cast of characters for Chris to rage at. This almost sounds like a concept for a bad 1980's style sitcom.

In any case, I believe the hearing will still be closed to the public, so I don't expect to find out about the results for a few days. Certainly it's not worth getting up early to wait for the results.

"Competent to stand trial" is not the same thing as actually competent. It basically means: "Able to shut the fuck up and let your lawyer do all the talking."

Back in Sept 2020, Chris didn't feel like dealing with his customers so he demanded Naught fulfill orders instead (I posted about that here). He sent Naught Google Drive links, and Naught posted those in The Place Discord server. Included in those was PDFs of Sonichu 0-13, along with Trickie's Rosechu's Story and Bryan's Prequel (Chris was also selling those).

The Sonichu PDFs were produced after Chris identified as transgender - for the Author field he wrote "Enitsirhc Reldnahc" (Christine Chandler spelled backwards).

What time does Chris's hearing start tomorrow?

Why does the Classic Era end on March 20, 2010? Yeah, that's when he said he'd leave the internet, but dude. First, he didn't even do it, he posted a new video literally the next day. Second, a lot of iconic moments that I (and probably most others) consider in the Classic Era occur after the fact. Jenkins Jinkies, his weird ass flipnotes, call with Lars, funny costumes, and WANT WOMAN!! Just to name a few. Those all definitely Classic Era Chris in my mind.

Third, I feel like a much better date for the Classic Era to end is November 22, 2010. That's when he said he'd leave (again) but actually made good on the promise (well, good enough for Chris) and went dark (mostly) for the next 4 years. Plus his whole tomgirl business started just four months after (I'd consider any tomgirl business firmly in the Dark Ages) and those four months between had essentially nothing happen in them. Thoughts??

I am absolutely horrified how clearly I can imagine their voices saying “my love does our soul bond and play satisfy you” and “yes it does thank you”.

Chris apparently asked Kengle to set up a fundraiser to raise 150k, which is probably close to the mortgage on 14 BLC.

I assume Chris will get that going himself when he gets out. I wonder if he'll just copy the Everfree gofundme format, where he gives actual rewards for "tithes", or he'll just demand it cause he's fuckin Jeebus now.

I can't see him raising money in bits and pieces, even if dumbasses did give him money, anything he gets will be immediately be spent on lego and other frivolities. Just like every other time he's raised money.

Personally I'd love to see it released on consoles, but that could never happen due to copyright issues. Still, I'd like to see the game finished. The alphas have been pretty awesome. (RPGmaker is pretty flexible).

They really don't. But that's Chris's 'art' for you. Two stick men, effectively. But then he went and gave it all away by putting his and Barb's star signs on each one.

To be honest, I wonder who all of the other figures in the drawing (other than Chris-Chan Sonichu and Magi-Chan) are supposed to be.

Parody is mocking the IP that you are using. For fair use, you have to be producing something that is directly relevant to the material you're using. The fictional and real life characters appearing in South Park are there partly to provide commentary on those characters.

It's an important distinction. For instance most of Weird Al's songs are not parodies, they're just humorous songs that use the music of another song. For instance "Fat" does not provide any commentary on Michael Jackson's "Bad", it just sings about being fat to the tune of "Bad".

Examples of actual Weird Al parodies would be "This Song's Just Six Words Long" or "Achy Breaky Song", since they directly pertain to the source material.

This is why Weird Al gets permission to release all of his songs (even the ones that he doesn't strictly have to).

Traditionally IP companies haven't bothered trying to start lawsuits against small-scale infringement, but for music that's become easier thanks to automated DMCA takedowns. In other forms, they still don't bother unless it becomes high profile. This is why they don't aggressively take down fanfiction.

And Chris' characters *are* effectively fanfiction, in that they're derivative works. Not to mention he flat out uses original IP alongside his OCs. Chris does own the copyright to his stories and OCs (and that right is automatic, he doesn't have to get a certificate, etc. like he thinks he does), but he doesn't own the copyright for the foundations he built them on.

Technically any Sonichu fanfic created by other people is both violating Sony/Sega/others' copyrights *and* Chris' copyrights, unless Chris approves it, in which case it's still violating that of the aforementioned corporations.

Nobody has gone after Chris Chan Adult Chronicles because it's small scale and not worth the effort. If it went up on a major game store, it could very easily result in a lawsuit from a company that wanted it taken down for whatever reason. For this reason Steam/PSN/XBL would not allow it on in the first place.
