Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

The goal was to turn him into a second Bob who'd never leave so there'd be someone to take care of her until she croaked, Chris was basically her new husband, she just wasn't fucking him. It was already an incestuous relationship, it had been for years, Chris just finally said screw it and helped himself to the china because he probably thought he was owed it for all he was doing for her.
Makes sense. Cole practically fled from her, her family cut her out of their lives and Bob died, so he was the only one who was involved in her life.

Heilberg might also not care at all and is doing the bare minimum. Some do that when their clients are clearly guilty. At this point, Chris is just a hopeless case. He is trapped in his own world and will never be able to participate in a normal life. He most likely want's Chris to live in the Hell he created for himself, which would be the best for all.
He's got him into the best possible chance of getting out of jail without a serious conviction, without being homeless (until he inevitably fucks it up), and maybe getting mental health care if a miracle happens and the stupid bastard realizes he needs it. All based on a brand new law specifically for tards like him.

What's he supposed to do, jump up and down and scream NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW?

Also there's literally nothing to talk to Chris about. It would be a completely pointless waste of time unless something is happening.

I'm not familiar with Virginia's laws or any American law for the matter. Chris will most likely be put into a mental institution for pretty much the rest of his life. Even if he gets released, he will likely not be able to return to his home. He can't even pay the mortgage, so the bank will just seize the house sooner or later. Chris is lost at this point.

We don’t that in America. You have to be WAY more fucked than Chris to qualify.

Even if he gets released,
He will be.

You might enjoy the Future of the House and Life After Prison (sic) threads, along with the faq (even though it’s out of date).

Chris is lost at this point.
Not quite yet. There are group homes.

It's sealed. All we have to go on is what Chris might mail out.
I understand Heilberg is doing his job. But one thing is to convince a group of people of his client's innocence, and it's another to convince your self about the client you represent. I'm pretty sure when Heilberg interviewed Chris, he wouldn't believe his history and either had to read the CWCki or see a Geno vid to get the story. Heilberg probably believes "Okay, you're clearly not in the best frame of mind for this, so I'm going to defend you by saying to people there's misinformation about you."

Kind of reminds me of Robert Kardashian and his defense of O.J.: He did his job (even though it was mostly Cochran), but after the trial, he didn't want to have anything to do with his client because he was a murderous POS.

Chris would probably like him to do that. He wrote a special prayer and everything. I imagine Chris was shouting this all the time in his cell until he got sent to Western.

It goes on like that for a while, I didn't post the whole thing. It's worse than Dr. Bronner's labels, at least the soap bottle tells you how to wash your dog and floors and stuff.

Heilberg is doing Chris a complete disservice because there is no long term care. The tard defense only mitigates the consequences, and puts Chris into care for a short period. If he had been sent to big boy prison, there would have been lots more avenues for advancements. There is a considerable autism training programs in prisons, not to mention job training programs for people who have never had a job before except crime, where they could have had years to reprogram Chris. Not to mention, it would been a horrible place for Chris to be and thus make him not want to go back in there.

In a year or two, when Chris is out, assuming the tard defense worked, Chris won't care. Nothing will stick, and Chris will once again be free to cause even more trouble, this time without a home to go to, which will mean he will be fending for himself and more likely to get hurt or killed by the seedy folks he'll be around.

I wholly believe that Heilberg went into this thinking Chris was some sort of victim, and that no, he didn't actually do the things that were being said that he did, and only after his various evaluations, Chris blabbering about the crimes, did Heilberg realize he was in way over his head. I mean lets face it, Chris went in with a misdemeanor and a year later, it turned into a felony, that's a bad turn of events for any defense lawyer.

Bob really lucked out with that that mainstreaming he (and to a lesser extent, Barb) put Chris through. Just like PVCC, Chris is grossly under prepared for living on his own. The SOB just got too comfortable living in the relative lap of luxury (luxury for any white trash). Fending for yourself at age 40 and with known mental problems, Chris is going to find it very hard to adapt. If he admits he cannot return to 14 BLC, Chris, in the usual way Chris thinks, will command from his 'worshippers' a place to stay for the rest of his life. I think this is when his tard luck runs out.

Whats the deal with the "Amen" on the court records? Is it protocol or is the court actually trolling?

Well, he's a lawyer, not Jesus. He's doing more than most public defenders would, and even managed to keep all this shit off the record.

Amended.

You are right, she doesn't deserve it, she deserves worse. She enabled all his Bullshit, so that's what she gets. Neither she nor Bob allowed Chris to actually grow up and this is the end result. A sexually confused nutcase who raped his stupid ass mom because she was the last resort to fulfilling his Love quest.

Terrible people deserve terrible things, period.
Kind of a fucked up thing to say, dude. Even if Barb was a piece of shit to Chris and Bob, nobody deserves to be raped multiple times by their 40 year old son.

To reiterate, Heilberg is not a public defender. Chris's case just didn't roll across his desk as the next one in line. The judge specifically called him and asked if he would take it on. Heilberg did a cursory glance at the bare minimum of Chris, a transexual, with mental issues, who was accused of a horrible crime, who also has a long history of internet shenanigans. Heilberg is also from Charlottesville, which is pretty progressive for that area of Virginia, and the Greene county courts wanted to make doubly sure they didn't stick Chris with some overworked public defender because they know full well what happens in Charlottesville in terms of protests could spread out there. Remember, the whole nazis and torches riots were only a few years ago. So if Chris gets crucified, sent to prison for a decade, they didn't want the blood on their hands and wanted someone who knew what they were doing and would actually defend Chris.

Having worked with lawyers for a long time, there's been a turn to cater to LGBT type folks, and Heilberg most likely took on Chris to pad his record, so to speak. Lawyers are a crafty bunch and they're always thinking about their record at the end of the day. Heilberg mostly has been representing drunks and pill poppers, long gone from the days of representing the DC snipers and other pretty high end cases, so with Chris, he thought it would be a slam dunk. Some people accused Chris of something horrifying, but he's just an innocent tard, caught up in meanies on that internets making shit up about him. He even confirmed this early on after taking on Chris by issuing statements that people shouldn't believe what they heard. I have a suspicion that he had no clue about Chris other than his record and some snippets of stuff from the "web".

Honestly, Chris duped him with his various copes. Heilberg probably thought he'd get Chris into some testing, evaluations, and come out saving the poor troon tard, getting off those charges (at the time were still a misdemeanor), getting Chris compassionate help, and coming out as hero to the local LGBT community, maybe even getting more business in the process. A lot of people don't understand, but in C-ville, catering to the LGBT crowd is a big business.

Then the tests come back that Chris isn't actually insane, he just doesn't care, and he won't shutup. So by the time Heilberg is trying to put a defense together, Chris is spilling his guts, admitting everything he did, admitting it was wrong, passing every insanity test with flying colors, writing letters to people about how he wants Barb dead or carted off so he can have the house, and doing everything he can to shove a wrench into the defense.

Then along comes last summer, when Chris's charges get upgraded to a felony, and Heilberg throws the tard card down as some hail Mary play because, thanks to Chris's big mouth, he's dead to rights. So now the only options are:

Praying the courts buy into Chris was so autistic when he was doing the deed, that he had no clue what was going on and that it wasn't wrong because of some autism thing.

Accepting Chris was completely of sound mind when he was Barb breaking and trying to mitigate the big boy punishment that awaits Chris.

I don't think Heilberg is any different than some ween trying to take Chris on, gatekeeping, and attempting to manipulate Chris into something he isn't. It's just that he didn't take on the burden of Chris willingly in order to control him, and he's finding out that trying to herd Chris into a functional human is virtually impossible.
