Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I have to ask....it has fans? Why are they fans of it? Do people really enjoy this Sonichu and Rosechu?

I have a randon question that has probably already been asked but I'll ask it again. What would your reaction be if it came out that all this time chris was just acting autistic and trolling people?

I was watching Hoarders earlier today for some stupid reason and it caused me to think of the good ol' Chandler household.

How many weens do you think have called that show and tried to sign them up?

This is a question that comes up a lot and at one point there was a story that the crew had showed up and Borb slammed the door in their face. Yes. Weens have tried. I confirmed that. No. A crew never went there. I don't want to go too deep into the how's and whys, because it involves my IRL job, but no one on staff at either of the Hoarders shows have ever sent a crew out to the Chandlers house. I have spoken to their production coordinators. Basically the bottom line is, unless you are the actual home owner (and you need to verify this thoroughly) they will not give you a call back nor consider you for broadcast. You, the hoarder, have to make all the moves to get a shot on the show. You have to WANT to get help and the paperwork for this type of production is mind blowing. Cranky neighbors and weens "nominate" hoarder households all the time, but; Not the homeowner? You're not on the show. No, they will not call your "nominee" and try to cajole them. It wastes the production company's time, it wastes the production coordinator's time, it wastes legal's time and NO production on earth simply sends a surprise crew to your house for a full shoot with on camera talent camera ready. It's simply ridiculous and it's also trespassing. The cost of this and the amount of equipment and people sent to location would blow your mind. I don't doubt for a second that they've been put up by Weens endlessesly and I'm sure by now the production teams are well aware and stop it before it gets to an actual production person. And I assure you, NO crew EVER showed up at 14 BLC and was told to go home. I'm sorry I don't have pics, emails or recordings (I just picked up the phone and made some calls, and I'm too stupid to know how to record them and wouldn't have anyway because this is where I work and I like my job. You're just going to have to take my word on this one. But there's a couple other Kiwis here that work in production and they can back me up. Sorry that's all I've got)

Matt Paxton said Hoarders has a backlog of requests into the tens of thousands. Not only is what you said about the homeowner being involved accurate, but severity of the hoard is one of the deciding factors when booking the show, and 14BC wouldn't even get a return phone call. Between the actual labor and 6 months of aftercare funds (for repairs to the house or work with therapists), a cleanup can cost $100,000 or more, so they aren't just going to show up at their door if everybody isn't full on board.

There are serious legal issues with intruding into someone's privacy to make a TV show on them against their will, especially when most of the people on a show like Hoarders are otherwise unremarkable other than their hoarding behavior, which is generally a mental illness the sufferer does not advertise to the public.

I also doubt in general that they would ever do a show about someone who was otherwise remarkable. Or on anyone without signed waivers in hand.

Plus if Barb actually thought there was money in something she would eagerly jump through hoops to get it. She's just so paranoid and dumb she probably wouldn't even believe it if it were true and the TV show had rock solid credentials.

Do you think Chris is responsible for Barb being sued by Capital One and Discover bank? He used to steal his parents cards when his own were maxed out. I bet he took barbs credit cards and bought $20,000 worth of toys and vidya and this whole Financhu crisis is actually Chris's fault.

I think it is the fault of everyone involved to my knowledge (not including the late Bob)

Why is Chris's voice so high-pitched? He's supposed to be a 30 year old man right? surely his voice would've have gotten bass by then.
