Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I kind of hope Chris and Barb eventually become unable to to pay their internet service. It's a terrbible Influence on Chris and they don't even need it for anything important like work or studies.
The only downside would be us not getting more updates from him, but I'm sure it would be beneficial to him, to some extent at least. Too bad he's too dumb and, after all these years, too attached to the internet to realize that.

It's a shame the based Lumberjack didn't cut down that god damn internet when he had the chance to do so.

Getting independent was never on the menu. Bob and Barb never treated independence as a default for Chris. I mean, sure, some people are naturally ambitious, but by and large, I think most kids leave home because it's treated as the standard route for their adulthood. As kids get older, their parents agitate more for them to get a job and move out. I think that's the key factor, and Chris never had that influence in his life.

Like, what if Chris had kept a Wendy's-level job? He wouldn't take the initiative to move out, of course, without Borb pushing him. But let's say he kept the job and saved up a bit of money. What would that do? That'd just mean that Chris would've had a few extra grand for Barb to pilfer. Same end result.

Chris is blameworthy for the little, individual instances of laziness he indulges in everyday. He's a lazy fatass, I think we can all agree on that. But as far as the big picture goes? I think it's kind of cruel to blame him for his current life situation.
They didn't? Then what was the point of sending him to PVCC for all those years?

Who is to blame? Barb did a horrible job raising him, but he has the ability to make a better life if he wants.

They didn't?
No, they never pushed Chris to be independent.

To give him marketable skills. However, after Chris graduated, there was never any expectation that Chris pursue jobs with the skills he acquired.

A battered wife also literally has the ability to leave home. But it's obviously a lot more complicated than just walking out the door.

It's amazing how short-sighted they were. They should have realized Chris will become independent anyway after they die.

So PVCC and Wendy's were just time-killers from Borb's perspective? Is that why Bob never bothered to push Chris to try another job after Wendy's?

How long has Chris been like a battered wife? Was it a problem even when Bob was still alive?

Oh definitely. Well, Bob should've done something. Bob knew what a dumpster fire Barb was, after she started to use suicide threats as a manipulation tactic. I empathize to a degree, because Bob was old and didn't want to try, but still, he ended up leaving Chris to the lions. I don't know, maybe he thought Barb would handle his nest egg more responsibly? He didn't see the Snyder incident coming.

More or less, yeah.

Chris didn't need to resist Barb back then. Like, Chris could cuddle with Barb, and then he and Bob could get their time away from her together. (Like at church or when they went to get breakfast.)

When Barb went batshit back then, Chris had an ally. Now he's all alone with her.

It's always sobering whenever I remember that Chris is in his 30s, not his early 20s or his teens. (Seems like a dumb thing to forget, but I do sometimes.)
Even if he were suddenly a functioning member of society he'd still be terribly unhealthy and would have wasted a good third of his life for nothing.

Someone posted about chris on a meme page I frequent...

Will Chris have any presents under the Christmas tree tomorrow? Will Barb get Chris a present?

I wonder how Christmas is playing out over there for Charb rn.

Anyways, have a tolerable holiday season all you fellow kiwis out there.

If the snow is orange... :o

What ever happend to Clyde Clash, did he move on or does he still lurk these forums?
I am positive he is still lurking. His identity is known to the inner circle, since you can't milk so much content without leaving a fingerprint.

Or, he may be a member among us? I have a few suspects, but for today, lets speculate on how fucking sad Chris' Christmas was: Barb semi-sentient, no presents and your surroundings looking like an episode of Hoarders.
