Yeah. It's a strange world these days lol, what with the paypig "trolls", idea guys/social media weens, and "Pristine Christine", etc.

I don't wanna turn this into a Q+A, but have you ever talked about your experiences/thoughts on Chris (both past Chris, and current Christine)? I feel like your perspective would be pretty interesting...

Not to trivialize the whole thing, but you were a kid. At that age, they're usually little sociopaths. You just had more of an opportunity to express it than others, with a sub-culture that embraced and encouraged those characteristics to boot.

But yeah, moving on.

When you have a person like Chris who lays it out there for the world to see and gets trolled time and time again but keeps doing it, I find it hard to feel sympathy for them. I'll admit that making him do some of the things trolls have done in the past was pretty bad, but he set himself up for it.

Moving on, I don't understand why he has to be so public when he knows he's just going to get shit for it. I realize this is Chris we're talking about, but even animals have shown more common sense.

It's because he enjoys it. Not the aspect of being duped consistently, he just likes the attention. He has referred to himself as a celebrity more than a few times.

Although he did give up a lot of that behavior after Bob died and was pretty quiet for awhile... Then I think he realized he could make money off of his behavior and fell back into it.

Chris is not smart enough to evade the trolls. He isn't naturally public, he gets duped into doing stuff publicly.

You don't have to be a fucking rocket scientist to "evade" the trolls. And he isn't naturally public? HE is the one posting his videos online, begging for donations, or doing stupid lets plays and everything else.

I don't think you understand the level of control the trolls have over him. Imagine an old lady in a nursing home, and her carers get her to sign away her money to them.

Except they're the ones giving him money at this point. It's not like it takes much of his time to generate some lazy-ass, boring paid content for some ween.

If I had to pick a moment where I thought Classic Chris "ended", I'd have to pick the aftermath of the "Asperpedia Four" situation.

Up until that point, Chris was a gullible, trollable idiot who kept coming back for more.

But when he had to compromise his own fantasy world to end the damage he perceived would happen if he didn't, I think something fundamental died in Chris when he did that.

Up until that point, he was still somewhat innocent mentally, but he had been messed with to the point even his personal hugbox fantasy land had been violated.

His last bulwark against a cruel world had been breached, and from that day onward, "Classic" Chris died if you ask me.

I can say that I sort of agree with the posters above - Bob's death definitely sealed any chances of Classic Chris returning on a permanent basis, although I'd definitely say that the Jessica Quinn fallout is probably the closest post-Classic Chris has come to Classic Chris in terms of mannerisms for quite a years.
