I thought this would be a fun Anna-version of Where's Waldo. *SIGH*

Same here. My disappointment is palpable.

I'm sorry, guys! This was my first time posting &. . .I dunno. Sorry for the misleading musing.

What were the results of Chris' court-ordered evaluation?

Unknown. In fact, it's unclear if Chris went in for an evaluation in the first place. From the way he phrased it in myriad Facebook posts, it seemed like the terms of Chris's probation were incredibly lax. Disappointing, yes, but nothing we haven't come to expect from the Chandlers' close friendship with Dumb Luck.

Did Chris have to take a bunch of remedial classes at PVCC?

I haven't heard anything about it. At my local college, you only needed to take remedial classes if you scored too low on an entry exam to jump right into the freshman courses like College Algebra. And you only needed to take the exam if, for whatever reason, they didn't have your SAT scores; I needed to take it because I went into college a year late due to a family emergency and my records essentially "expired" for the purposes of entry.

On that note, did Chris take the SAT? I know he was part of the "special" classes in high school, so I don't know if he would have been made exempt or not. I can't imagine the kid passing.

Probably not. I think only students intending to go to four-year-colleges take the SAT. Community colleges are open enrollment.

I did some research and you seem to be correct. Even people who get a GED take the SAT or ACT, so someone who didn't "finish high school" can get into a university.

I looked at the PVCC website, but I couldn't find info on whether they require a test of some kind as part of the admission process. Or if they required it back in the 90s.

Kacey once asked Chris if he took the SAT. He said he did, but then went on to absolutely not remember his score, and he has a history of lying to Kacey, so Iunno.

The End for Real said:
Kacey: ...No... It's... in place of a diploma. I mean, did you even take the SAT?
Chris: Yes, I did take the SAT in high school.
Kacey: What was your scores?
Chris: ...I do not remember.
Kacey: Oh come on, you've got to remember. Nobody forgets their SAT scores.
Chris: It, uh, with a small detail like that, and I felt it was small... it was in one ear and out the other.
Kacey: Okay, was it- was it above 1100? Was it above 1200? Was it above... anything like that?
Chris: Yeah, mmm... Ah, yeah, I think it, I think it was... over 1100. [long pause] But that's to the best of my recollection. I swear.
Kacey: So you had something over 1100, but you went to a community college. I mean, did- did you even try to get into a university? Not that I'm saying community colleges are bad, but, come on.
Chris: I did- yeah well, yeah, my mom and dad advised me to go to the community college, because my family could not afford university.

Pretty sure Chris was lying his fat ass off to Kacey there as he did most of the times they talked.

I sincerely doubt Chris would have the capacity to take the ACT/SAT. He would either retreat to his fantasy land due to the stress or he would just whine until someone asked him to leave.

to be fair to OPL, I forgot my SAT/ACT scores, but I had intentions to going to a four year college. I spent a few years in a community college before going to a real college. It's doubtful Chris took them, though--I can at least remember where I took the SAT/ACT.

I'm starting to believe that Rob Bell was like Johnnie Cochran for disabled people.

If the Pony shirt doesn't fit! you must Aquit!

True. Him possibly forgetting his test scores isn't the dubious part given that Chris has forgotten and/or "revised" more important details in his life. The questionable part is that:

1. He didn't even attempt to make a guess at what the score could have been until Kacey mentioned possible scores.
2. He seemed to lack interest in going to a university in the first place.
3. He has never mentioned these tests before. Even if he scored low, Chris would interpret him being able to take the test at all as a victory because he's autistic. He would certainly have mentioned it especially if he was aware that other autistic people didn't take the ACT/SAT.

Do we know if it was Chris's idea to try going to community college or if it was something that his parents pushed him into?

You know what Chris and ambition is like. It was probably Bob's idea.

Good point but I think the prospect of being near his beloved gal-pals could have motivated Chris enough to try going to a college nearby.

We can find out whether or not Chris took the tests. It's probably as simple as calling up MHS and asking for his records.

Here's the real question: who's actually going to do that?

Also, I'm fairly confident that high schools don't just toss out their student records (decades old or not) to whoever calls and asks.

In the same Kacey call, Chris states that uni would have been too expensive for his parents. Apparently they really didn't give a shit about him at this point or didn't want to spend more money on him.

At the time, he would have been eligible for extra time due to his disability. But, there's just no reason for him to have taken the ACT or SAT.

I think Bell does specialize in mental disability law.
