Aside from him going through the process of registration, I'm not sure if he even knows about any political parties other than the Democrats and Republicans, and even then, isn't the Constitution Party associated with the Religious Right?

Honestly, when I clicked the link, I thought Rob Bell was running for President. Bell is a state-level politician and he's been in office since 2002, so it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary.

Unrelated note, but does anyone else here think that part of why Barb blew through Bob's inheritance so quickly during the Snyder trial was because she specifically hired Bell? The guy is a state-level politician who has enough esteem as a lawyer to run for Attorney General in 2013, even if he did lose. Maybe Barb thought she could beat the charges if she got the most expensive lawyer she could afford?

I know legal fees are expensive and I'm not sure how much money Bob left them, but I get the feeling that they would've at least saved a little bit more money had Barb gone for a no-name attorney and let Chris get a public defender. Chances are the outcome would have been the same, since the main reason why Chris avoided jail time and the charges were bumped down to a misdemeanor level was because Snyder pushed for leniency.

This may be autistic but why is Chris obsessed with MLP having 5 more seasons? Like why 5 specifically? It's such a minor thing but it's confusing for me on the autism behind that like even if it did, would he demand 5 more when it ends?

I am overthinking things but this genuinely confused me about Chris.

Also does anyone else think that his Dimensional Merge crap is just really compensation for being lonely?

Most people choose a word based not only on literal meaning, but on past usage. Autistics are very literal.
Chris thinks that by adding synonyms he is making the point clearer.
But no two words have the exact same meaning, you have to look at the common context and setting.
How a word is usually used, to get the flavor of it.
While An autist might pick a word out of a thesaurus , say "hmmm, that word sounds smart amongwhich sandwich hamburger assburger ponies"

He probably just picked some number that sounded like a lot to his autism addled mind. And I'm pretty sure that he does believe it to a large degree. He's obviously always had a loose grasp on reality, like some kind of slovenly version of a character from a Suda51 game. He was already starting to really lose it around the time that Bob died if those horrifying call out videos are any indication. And let's not forget his half assed rendition of Buffalo Bill's dance.

You'd think with the whole dimensional merge shit going on Chris would talk more about the titular Sonichu. However at least to my knowledge we've heard nothing about him and his supposed well being despite being the supposed main character of the Universe. Then again this isn't the first time Chris has pushed him aside for making himself the big cheese

Consider that Barb is as selfish as she is dumb, when its about saving her own skin, she will spare no expense even if the result would have been the same (since the case was already a matter of "what sentence to give for this obviously guilt result?" instead of "Guilty or not guilty").

Coming from a law student Thats the thing, you see...in a case like this, the guilty verdict was not only obvious but inevitable. It isnt up to Bell to tell his client she would be better off with a cheaper lawyer since its obvious he wont change much if at all, simply to do his job (which he did). But Barb was trying to save herself, her tard baby-slave and most important, herself. So she obviously didnt see the whole picture and tried to spare herself, Chris and her lawyer the effort and just jump straight to the guilty plea most benefitial to all involved.

You know, just for once I wanted to see one of those "futures" that show Liza as a failure and Bart with a decent future. Reminds me of that episode where she learns that the simpsons gene makes you into an idiot...only until she found out its only on the males (god what a cringy revelation), so I guess when it comes to Bart being fucked, its all fine! I dont think its a coincidence most of my least favorite episodes usually center around Liza or Marge (tho the latter is on a much lesser extent). Liza feels like the girl that would grow up tweeting "orange man bad" while spewing feminist garbage, wondering why no man wants her (Milhouse already would have become a Elon type so he is too good for that buuullllshit).

Chris is all around exact numbers like most autists. I dont know where he got that number but h thinks tht if he has "seen" that it is, it MUST be so.
And the DM is probably Chris's cooping mechanism over Barb's decline in health and the bills piling in more and more...he just wont accept otherwise.

You know back when the show actually was funny there were several moments where Lisa was pretty much like that time to time only she got shut down hard (albeit within the context of the time period)

(G) Old simpsons was selfaware how preachy and kind of unbearable Liza could be (sometimes they made entire episodes over her seeing how much herself, like that one where she saw things through Homer's eyes and she agree that...man, she can be very annoying and unfair).
But nowadays she is rarely called out on it and is rather shown to almost always be right (because having complex characters at this point is not something the new show runners bother with).

Was Lisa actually president in the year 2020 on the show? I thought Chris made it up, but I guess it would make sense if it was something he believed was chronicled by the media.
 
Haven't seen a poll on this for the kiwi community, so let's have a whip round.

My thoughts : With Sockness being so blatantly open about not believing in Chris's ideas to his very face, I would have predicted Chris to go all ranty on Jacobs ass (like everyone else on twitter). Alas, nothing. He doesn't believe this shit.

The show had a lot of "future" episodes and all of them show Liza either president or at the top (with Bart always a loser). So Chris probably took as a prophecy rather than the forced feministic message.

Chris believes it but he's among the most malleable people on Earth. Sockness might be able to alter Chris' ideas relating to the merge to the point that they become unrecognizable.

If anything the Merge is Chris' Power Fantasy and his ultimate attempt at Escapism.

The way I see it, Chris is aware the DM isn't real, but is also desperately trying to convince himself that it is, basically wishful thinking rather than straight-up belief a'la Jacob Sockness.
