How did Chris get internet? I don't see why Bob or Barb would have seen the need to get internet in the house. Possibly Bob, being an engineer had an interest in PCs, but i never heard much of it. Was the internet something Chris pressured them to get? I don't know why they never just canceled their internet service when Chris was at his height of trouble. Does Chris have home internet access now? It seems like he does a lot of his online activity through his phone. Anyone got the deets?

The Internet was pretty mainstream during most of Chris' use of it, I believe. I think he wanted it to make his Sonichu site and put his comics up for people to see. (And the rest, as they say, was Christory.) So it wasn't that unusual that he was online.

Why The Lumberjack never cut down the Internet for good is anyone's guess. Mine would be that he threatened to do it but Chris pitched a holy fit. Just imagine his squeals at the end of "Bob Walks In" except all the time.

The big question is why Chris even bothers with it today, considering it seems more trouble than it's worth. I guess he just doesn't think about it critically, or have any other alternatives to it for doing what he wants to do.

It quite likely came with the phone service and cost very little. Even people who don't use it a lot can feel that having internet is somewhat of a necessity.
Why Bob didn't cut it down when he should have, I have no idea.
 
When Chan Watch did a What if video, she mentioned the possibility of Chris being "found" by the media and getting a reality show, basically "Chrissy Boo Boo".

While I think it'd just be another example of why the human race has failed, I'd like to know other opinions.

Bob did have a interest in IT, not a major one but in this picture he is a reading a Publication talking about the "IBM PC" that was a term tossed around in the late 80's an early 90's to describe anything that was compatable with the IBM style PC's like the Compaq that was a product of a clean room reverse engineering project to ship a Box that was compatable with DOS and all the applications that where starting to Ship to business at the time.

Internet would have been pretty close to neccessary for Chris' studies at PVCC.
 
Just a addenda to my last post, that book is the 1985 edition and looks in good condition so it was probably new an was printed on A4 paper so it was 8 an 1/2 inches wide and 11.2 inches tall an add a half inch in the width for the spine binding.

So knowing that to Answer this:

I would guess it's a print 16x24 not including the frame, give or take a inch or two.

Sorry just fancied a little bit of detective work.

I hate reality tv shows. But I can imagine Chris being on a show that tries to help him or exploiting his life style. I think Chan Watch closed its account recently.

An' anuhr thang; Chris's first personal website was in 1999. How did Chris even know to get a website? Why did he think he needed one? The only replies in his guestbook (gosh dang, guestbooks. Remember those?) were from his parents, so I wonder if Bob and Barb knew about Chris's site beforehand and decided to do that on their own, or if Chris had to walk them through the process of signing the guestbook?

I follow her on tumblr, she said it was taken down or something. She plans to make videos in the future.

To get super-autistic, the post is a a few days old. Chris has become very very quiet.

But yeah, wtf, Chris isn't gonna kill himself -not on purpose, anyway. We established a long time ago that Chris really doesn't comprehend how god-awful his circumstances are.

He took a computer graphics class in high school about that time. That may have got him interested in the idea of making a website. He also took some html courses, but I don't know if any of those were in high school.

Also, he did have guestbook signings from some other people.

My bad, he got his first guestbook signings from Borb, not his only ones.
