@Marvin locked the Pawn Stars thread, so I figured I'd just post here since this is the place to drop worthless information for starving Christorians

I looked up his ebay purchase history. He actually bought TWO of those stupid Pawn Stars coins. He bought this Chumlee coin as well as a coin with the old fart guy from the show whatever his name is.

He spent $134 on two useless coins. :geek:
There's a sucker born every minute...

There are other "characters" on that show. Do you think he'll collect them all?. His feedback on the second one is "Hope to deal with you again. Thank you.".

I'm wondering if Barb gave him the money for these. She seems like she'd like that show cuz it makes her feel better about hording. I don't know why Christian would like this show, no cartoons or women.

Well, duh. You can't have one without having the other in the set. Don't you know anything about collectibles?

Yeah, this is definitely a Barb-style purchase. Maybe Barb's getting into e-thrift stores...

In the CHRIS CHANDLER video, Chris brings up that Liquid's medallion is made of paper, while his is made of CFMM. But Chris doesn't explain why that matters. It would've been funny to play off of that. Like Liquid could've said something like "huh, wait, yours isn't made of paper? Haha, well damn, you just proved yourself to be a fraud! the real medallion has always been made of paper, everybody knows that!"

Chris rarely bothers to think through the implications of his words and it's tons of fun to let him run into his inconsistencies. I love when people do stuff like that.

For example, we should've done that with Mitch Sonichu. For those who don't remember, Chris brought Asperchu into the official Sonichu canon. In CWC canon, Asperchu hated how Alec portrayed him. So Chris graciously cleaned him up and gave him a new name, "Mitch". It was basically a very childish literary sockpuppet.

I would've loved if Alec had incorporated Mitch back into Asperchu as a separate character. Like show Mitch and Asperchu interacting. Just rub it in Chris' face that his little tricks don't actually do anything.

I don't know. If you grant the premise that the medallion matters, is worn everywhere and is some special source identity, it makes sense that it be made of something more substantial than paper. Not CFMM in particular, but something along those lines. And then if you grant that people are legitimately watching liquid vs solid and trying to figure out which one is legit, it makes sense that solid can point at the different medallions and say "Look, one of us is wearing a more substantial medallion. The other one is wearing one that clearly wouldn't stand up to everyday wear and tear for very long. Is that not an indication of which one is real?"

It's hard to say it was a good point by Chris, because you have to take yourself down the rabbithole of insanity that was Chris' mindset about the liquid saga. But if you accept everything right up to the paper/CFMM point, it's not the dumbest point in the world to make.

Claim that the medallion is mostly ceremonial for videos. It's part of the costume.

It's not necessarily a dumb point for Chris to make. It's just a very flimsy one to make when you're arguing with someone who you're claiming is stealing your identity.

Well the whole thing was so absurd, it is hard to evaluate.

Clearly the only rational thing to do is to ignore him. Or if you are going to get mad at him, don't treat the claims that he is you as anything that should be taken seriously.

Although I kind of get the impression Chris had the same thought. He kept saying things that had the ring of "How can all of you be taking this seriously? Clearly this guy is not me." He was duped more by all of the people who "took Liquid seriously" than by Liquid himself.

Which was a lot of the brilliance of that saga for me. It wasn't just Liquid being absurd, it was the second wave. Kacey came in and was in a love triangle with Liquid and Solid. "Fans" came in and were so confused about the whole situation that solid Chris had to keep putting them straight.

The main appeal of trolling (ethics aside) is to put a ridiculous man in a ridiculous situation and see how he reacts. The liquid saga put him in a situation where he was fighting for a girl with a guy who claimed to be him. And the girl stuck around in both their lives for an extended period of time, but somehow couldn't figure out who was who. And then for some reason the whole thing ended with a sing-off. It's mindblowingly ridiculous. Which is its brilliance.

Say Marv, are you familiar with the reason he's stopped wearing the medaliion in the first place.

All his self-inserts still wear it so I'm curious.
Beats me. He might've realized it was childish. Chris is intentionally trying spin the Sonichu cartoon as being for children. He doesn't consider his cartoon self to be his avatar or anything. They're parodies of himself. In this case, parodies of himself in the past, so they'd still wear the medallion.

Someone posted these on 4chan, I don't know if they're already on the forums.

Daily Reminder
Chris burned up all of this stuff trying to make coffee at 1 AM in his bathroom
Actually, Skyraider (or someone else) posted the firefighter documents that stated it was caused by a wire being worn out, so the Keurig didn't even run when it happened.
Basically, Charb, in their unlimited wisdom, thought it was a good idea to jam a cable above their bathroom door and it eventually was worn out so much, it shorted out.
And whenever I think about it, I feel the need to point out how scary that is: As long as the Keurig is running, you can assume someone is awake and going to notice the fire rather soon... if that IS the source of the fire. It wasn't though, and the fire could have happened at any other time... for instance when both Chris and Snorlax were asleep. Let that sink in for a while: there is a really good chance Christory could have ended with a two-fold obituary. I am so fucking glad it didn't.

Man, I wish I would have seen the reactions. There's a lot of things Chris simply can't deal with, like being called the wrong name or someone claiming to be him. He can't fathom his frothing rage is the exact thing the people want and he supplies it by the gallon. Also, he's gullible as fuck.
I don't know how feasible it would have been back in the day, but just imagine Chris' reaction if Liquid Chris had used a greenscreen and an image of Chris' room to pretend he's making videos in BC14.
