But for women to buy for the men in their lives. Target's demographic leans much more towards women than similar general merch stories like Walmart. Most of the advertising reflects this very clearly- the assumed average customer is a middle income female doing the household shopping at a place where she can also pick up scented candles and seasonal geegaws for fun.
