When did AO3 become DeviantART? No one is going to ask if they can give you criticism. They're just going to give it to you and there's a fifty/fifty chance it won't be constructive and will just say your writing is complete dog shit. But you published the work publicly and now anyone can say anything about it. None of these exceptional people ever seem to get that when you put your work or yourself out there, people are gonna come and laugh either with you or at you. It sounds like three of these people were all, and still are, laughed at.
I bet if this photographer's hypothetical friend posted their vacation photos publically on a website dedicated to professional or very good amateur photography, it would not be as out of place to give criticism on it as opposed to an interpersonal situation.

I don't know why the fuck they think Shel Silverstein would have cared if people thought he looked scary because he deliberately chose to look that way and deliberately wrote some really creepy shit.
Speaking for bald and immaculately whiskered men everywhere:
We are good and goddamned aware of how we look, we do it on purpose, and you can fuck right off with your "THINK OF HIS FEELINGS" shit.
I will headbutt your ass into the ground like a tent peg, and I will look fucking fantastic doing it. One does not wake up every morning and shave his head because he's concerned with your feelings on his appearance.

Or???? People can just not like your mediocre character? There are plenty of women who HATE this character because she is a bully and bland. I don't care how many comparisons you make in real life. I don't care how many times you think it's the appropriate reaction to catcalling. It's not. And the fact people want to displayed this character as a hero is rather disturbing. The people being assholes to her were HUMAN. The difference between many other heroes taking down assholes or thugs is usually that they get it coming to them and overstep their bounds. Many of the times THEY HAD CONNECTIONS to dangerous organizations or aliens so the attacks would be justified. At most, Batman for example could threaten a guy and make him nearly shit his pants and he'll talk. He'd rough them up but in most cases he got them to talk before that. The same can not be said for CM as she's attacking a guy who can't even defend himself. What threat do they pose? At least a gun could kill Batman, she would get out just fine with/without a conflict.

The fact that people are trying to shill so hard and use CM as the pinnacle of female story-tellying is sad because all I got from the clip was a bully and heroes are supposed to take down bullies and be better than that. (At least for the most part).

Not watching anymore shit copypasta Marvel movies, but the way this fag describes it, it sounds like she decided to be a cunt to a dude, that simply didn't have good game. I mean fuck, just imagine how pissed they'd be if shit was reversed, and one of the male ultra-linear superheros punched some fat bitch, and took her bike.

I was dragged to Endgame and Capt. Marvel came off as both a braggart Mary Sue and a bland plank of wood simultaneously. And I didn't like the dyke hair.
Why does the woke crowd skree about writing wamenz as real people so often, but then tip their hand when they actually try to do it and reveal that they think the best a woman can aspire to be is an asshole one-upsman with no other personality traits?

She just seemed like a plot device to me.

Anyway, I just want She-Hulk in the MCU, I love her, she's my big fave.

They tried too hard to make CM "relatable", so they had most of her "challenges" be like.. mundane everyday sexist crap that women deal with regularly, none of which is serious enough to warrant the kinds of reactions they had her give to it - a douchebag telling a girl to "smile" isn't remotely on the same scale as breaking someone's hand. So to reasonable people, obviously this is way over the top and makes CM look like a bully (with the bonus of making a mockery of women's issues / feminism).

She's not really a superhero character so much as she's intended to be wish fulfillment for women who fantasize about being able to enact violence against sexist jerks (which is also probably why CM is such a bland character, all the better to imagine yourself in her place). Which I guess would be okay if it were an indie film or something, but for the first female-led superhero movie to basically be a boring set piece for insecure women to insert themselves into, where the story isn't really about being a superhero and the main character is a bully... it's really disappointing. And it makes me think the MCU guys have absolutely no idea how to write women, but we kind of knew that already.

I keep seeing Tumblr posts about how "well Winter Soldier is a terrorist so how can you criticize CM?" and I just want to scream really loudly. The movie was terrible, guys - if it wasn't, you wouldn't have to work so hard defending it and taking shit out of context to try to make it seem better / to make CM seem more reasonable as a character. And the whole "anyone who doesn't like this movie must be a White Straight Man" bullshit is just absurd.

I wish I could find it again but on my dash I found a post where apparently in a therapy session when an SJW said they are sad cause "the country is becoming a fascist regime" and when their therapist said thats unreasonable they had a fit.

But its tumblr so it's likely a fake story.

Saw the original post, but didn’t see the update until now. Shame, I can get behind the original despite the lumping of intersex with LGBT (unless they’re LGBT themselves intersex people are not inherently LGBT and don’t want to be seen as such). But with the addition of aces in that reply the message is ugh. I wonder if an intern reed about “erasure.” I’m sure someone on Twitter did. Aces are not queer. Deal with it.
