I have no idea who the guy is. I looked him up and he's some artist who died from AIDS. Welp, lol. My post was mainly just about how that person threw a big fit about someone on Instagram publicly calling Stephen Fry a pedophile because of his marriage to his husband, which they claimed was homophobic, yet when I linked to his now infamous play that he did in university that was all about a teacher fucking a 12 year old, and a few other details from his past novels that focused way too much on sexual details about teenage boys, etc. their only reply to me was that they weren't a fan of him so they don't care, yet, lol, they cared about that one stupid Instagram post, while ignoring that there are legitimate reasons to call Stephen Fry a predator.

But apparently the only thing that they cared about was calling the previous comment about his marriage homophobic, lol, that was more important than the other actual legit reasons that we should be calling him a predator, when most likely he is secretly one.

Crap, I forgot the Europan Ice Wars guy was actually making a real product. Actually, I was just trying to troll a little, since the "Dig" stuff is actually not based on any real media property (and that's part of the joke), and as far as I recalled the Europa stuff was the same. I figured @Julie Newmar would soon go looking, find the memes, and realize what was up. Anyway, no IP infringement afoot, no need to worry.

I don't know. Fandom content for fake media properties is a pretty popular meme on tumblr and I wouldn't expect this to be based on anything in particular. But I couldn't find the original post and it's possible that the OP did mention taking inspiration at some point.
