I... don't know how to feel that this was on my dash, untagged. I didn't wanna see a donger (:_(

i was too (and why everyone was going on about how the big red/orange one is A LITERAL SHITLORD) and then a few days ago someone linked me to a clip on YouTube that shows that she's really obviously meant to represent a victim of abuse. it's only about two minutes long and pretty well done for a kids show.

so of course now she's the patron fucking saint of abuse victims everywhere according to tumblr. you would seriously think they've never seen a TV show with an allegory for abuse before, or with a main character who came from an abusive background. of course, a lot of those characters usually seem to have their shit together and have tried to move past their abuse and don't enjoy being patronized for their past, so tumblr wouldn't care anyways. the one from SU is the most important because she's a precious delicate flower child that needs to be protected uwu.

What gets me is that they'll praise this for showing abusive relationships, but trash the Family Guy episode where Quagmire tries to save his sister from her abusive boyfriend (often citing that Family Guy has no business in doing the episode since the show makes fun of women and domestic violence). There is such a thing as wanting to do something different and comedians not advocating or condoning what they joke about and apparently Tumblr (and, let's face it, TVTropers) don't seem to understand that (or they feel more at home when children's shows do it rather than adult-oriented shows because their minds are stuck between the ages of 8 and 12 years old).

But sjws are the first ones to cry "GAS THE WHITES" whenever the situation comes. they really need to stop painting themselves as being "cinnamon rolls".

Why do they call anything considered precious or sacred (to them) "cinnamon rolls"? Cinnamon rolls are big, fattening, sticky, covered in white goo (actually confectioner's sugar and water), and are only good to eat at breakfast. Plus, not everyone likes them and those that do are already a Snickers pie and a sleeve of Oreos away from losing their feet to diabetes.

Well people here have already mentioned the Onion, and also because tumblrinas (as most of internet bloggers/writers) are just obsessed with food to an unhealthy level. And not really cooking or appreciating fine/foreign dishes, but always go nuts for generic fatty/junk food crap. If I had a nickel every time I saw a post/article where a writer obsesses over pizza/chocolate/nachos/whatever, i'd probably live in a castle. The Internet really goes truly nuts over three things in general: cats, junk food and fandoms.

Except no kids actually watch it. It may as well have been written by tumblr.

I have some acquaintances whose kids watch the show. Granted, these kids are about 5-9 years old, and yet the ones who yell about it the most are 20-somethings on tumblr. It's very jarring.

Just as a sidenote, the show itself isn't very SJW, surprisingly, as tumblr or the farms tries to make it out to be. There's no soapboxing "kill all straights/whites/men/whatever else people get their panties in a bunch over" stuff everyone on both ends, SJW or anti, yell about (yes, people getting angry tryhard over it is cringy as hell to read about on here too). Both groups are grasping at straws way too hard. Everyone needs to calm down.

Moral for the episode they're going berserk over was simply "killing people is bad mkay" and tumblr gets mad because they're guilty with all the "Down With Cis/Kill All Men" bullshit they peddle around all the time.

It honestly is just a regular kids' action show and yet tumblr teens make it seem like it's more than that just because there's "muh brown people" in it. You can have the shittiest show in the universe and they'll still say it's the best thing as long as there's brown people in it--which is what's going on with tumblr's arguments for Suicide Squad right now are.

They did this with Adventure Time and Gravity Falls, they're not gonna stop being idiots over cartoons any time soon.

Because women can't rape women, right?

Nah, it has to be successful with kids, that's the only way kids shows survive. That's also the reason why the main character is a little kid.
Despite a lot of its staff having SJW values and tumblr accounts littered with how gay they are, SU really doesn't shove any SJW morals.

Or, perhaps, it's just a game mechanic. Sort of like how Skyrim's bandit population makes up more than the armies and farming population combined. (Though I think that's bad in the game's design, because it means the enemy population is terribly bland, but that's a tangent.)

But Tumblr doesn't care. Anything to jerk off to their weird LGBT fetish.

Not exactly a tumblr post, but it might as well be.

Halfway through the hen's "Blaaaaaack black black black black black blaaaaaack" essay and christ almighty. And I thought tumblr was salty.

I can't imagine being this dedicated to pointing out how a children's cartoon is so "problematic" because it doesn't display "Black" "Correctly"

What does that even mean? They literally never point out any sort of solution to the "problems" at all. Just bitched.

Ah right. I forgot that's what they do. And ALL they do.

The only thin the amount of salt that happens tells me (and probably most young creatives) is to just not bother with diversity at all. Even among an alien race. Ever.

You want to know what's really ironic? There's an entire black family in the show that she "conveniently" forgot to mention.
