Here's the thing with Tumblr: they'll never be satisfied with anything that's written ever. Something's always wrong and offensive.

earlier today when i got on tumblr, i saw the get down, a hip hop drama on netflix, trending on tumblr because it was cancelled by netflix meanwhile like a week or so ago, 13 reasons why got a second season. so while we're at it, let's add race to the issue because why not?

also side note, i did like the get down and i dont give a shit about 13 reasons why, but i havent finished watching the get down so i dont really give a shit.

Well, Tumblr thought it was wrong when they did a crossover with Uncle Grandpa two years back.

I heard that story about Pauline Kael and Nixon.

But, you know, I actually heard of the show that they're complaining about - yet I had no idea that this show they're all saying is better ever existed until today.

Perhaps the show got cancelled because it wasn't very popular?

It actually was! Bismuth (I think, is that the blacksmith-looking one?) wanted to blow up all of Homeworld for their transgressions, and Steven told her that murder was bad. Tumblr, of course, lost their shit, because the only way to respond to anything is violence, and how dare they villify Bismuth for that.

The fact that Bismuth looks like a black troon (and presumably is a lesbian since all the gems are female) and therefore hit all of Tumblr's protected classes probably had a hand in how big their reaction was.
