The split attraction model is basically the idea that people are attracted to different types of people romantically and sexually. It's where "heterosexual biromantics" (people who say they are sexually attracted to the opposite sex but can form romantic relationships with both sexes) come from. It emerged from Tumblr asexuals/aromantics, who would identify as "asexual panromantic" or "homosexual aromantic" or some other fun and creative combination of terms. That is literally what they think it is, though. And I do not fucking get it. We have genuinely mentally 'tarded people that come into my work, and I look at them, and I think "this is pretty much what kids on tumblr pretend to be unironically". I cannot fucking wrap my brain around people WANTING TO BE AUTISTIC, AND THINKING IT IS A DESIRABLE TRAIT. I 1000% want to take these dumbass kids, and force them to spend a few days around genuinely mentally handicapped people.
