As far as I am aware, I know maybe like, a max of 3 LGBT people in real life? "Cishets", as tumblr so lovingly likes to call them, make up the majority of the world's population.

"You're not making an effort to make trans friends." They don't even want "cishets" in trans-friendly spaces, so how do they expect cishets to make trans friends? Hunt them down in the middle of a Walmart? I also don't see how a cishet person's friend group has any bearing on OP's ability to make queer friends. Cishets aren't making an effort...so they're not going to make an effort?
All of that aside, it's such bullshit for OP to make it sound like making queer friends is hard. If you put yourself out there, you can do it. It's amazing what can be accomplished when you actually talk to people.

You forgot that this is from Tumblr, they don't want to put effort into anything there.

Except "cis/hets" make up the majority of global population. So it's obvious that virtually everyone is going to have a large amount of "non-queer" friends.

Shit, only three? I know at least three gay people at work alone, but I also tend to move in more artistic circles.

I get the feeling OP is one of those people who will cut off friends for not being queer enough.

I dunno, man. Not many people I know run around announcing "I'M QUEER! LOOK AT ME I AM QUEER!" - I might meet more when I start uni but usually I don't ask who they wanna bang or what they identify as.

EDIT: This just popped up on my dash smh

For crying out loud, it's a fucking horror game. My biggest vice with this is about Beth and Hannah - who are identical twins, so how could they be identical if one was trans?

Transgirl wendigos make for excellent representation.

Harry Burleigh? W.C Handy? Joseph Antonio Emidy? Chevalier de Saint-Georges?
Why are they still pretending that white composers are black, when there are so many black artist they can learn about?
It's pretty offensive when you think about it because there are plenty of amazing black artists in history that have done a lot but nope! Let's ignore them and instead focus on an artist that was clearly white and let's insist that he was black.

It's like they hate those black artists and want to erase them. Like they think they're racially inferior or something, and that the only way to elevate black people is to claim, falsely, that a white person was actually black.

You know, given that we give blacks a ton of praise for inventing ragtime, jazz, rock 'n' roll, why exactly must we make Beethoven black? Black people already invented a ton of great music.

Thisn't tumblr, but

Where did this "fact" even come from?
Mozart was portrayed as black in the ad of a classic jazz station, get it?
Tumblr sure didn't and took the ad at complete face value. Can you actually expect them to tell the difference between them

If your followers can still see and re-blog your posts, doesn't that completely remove the purpose of making your blog hidden?
Not really. Let's say Kit-kat does this. If I were to see a post of hers in my dashboard, I couldn't link it for you guys. It might also block archivers, depending. However, if I'm following, I can still screenshot and link. Also, if a dashboard is crowded, finding past posts would be next to impossible. The trick for subtle Tumblr stalking is to follow with an innocuous name.

The announcement said that you can still like and re-blog the posts. Thus, wouldn't you still be able to just re-blog something interesting and then archive it?

I suppose, but you can't be on 24/7; if you were to sleep and they were to say something funny, it would probably get lost within a dashboard.

That being said, a new account made solely to mirror another account, only following that person and checking at least daily, might make an effective mirror. However, if they were to block the mirror, you'd lose that.

I wonder if there's some kind of resentment of white people that they don't even want them to have anything. If Mozart and/or Beethoven are black, then they can scream at whites for "cultural appropriation."
