Ugh. The whole "Captain America should be bisexual!" "movement" on Tumblr comes off as entitled as fuck to me. There's nothing wrong with having a headcanon and if you personally see him as bi, then fine. But Marvel comics doesn't owe you anything. If you want to see more bi characters (This could apply to any other demographic minority that Tumblr considers oppressed), then create them yourself. It certainly won't be easy but then again, almost nothing in life is.

Not to mention that I'm pretty sure 85% of these people only want Captain America to be canonically bi is so that he can bang Bucky for real. You know, for all that "toxic masculinity" bullshit that they like to spew, they sure do love sexualizing male friendships.

I got into an argument with one of my best friends on Twitter about this last night. She's neither straight nor asexual/aromantic/whatever other bullshit, so I have no idea why she was so adamant about letting anyone use the term. It was the whole "last I checked, the A in LGBTQIA stood for asexual/aromantic/agender so they can be queer too" argument. Also saying that a transgender person that is heterosexual should also be called "queer" simply because they're trans. I was like... I'm fairly certain most trans people would like to just be seen as their preferred gender and therefore straight. Calling them queer just because they're trans seems to go against the very thing that trans people are trying to achieve by transitioning.

Discussed it later with my actual queer, transgender, and asexual friend and they're like "Yeah, that's bullshit".

Oh shit, an innocent child has his own idea of what he finds pretty! And it's not like it can change once he reaches puberty and actually gives a shit about who he's attracted to. I was also confused by "the two white ones". The only one I could see that looked possibly white was the one with what I assume to be vitiligo.

Let's burn the idea into a child's head that his family will disown him if he dates out of his own race. Yes, instilling fear into our young is the best way to ensure your kid won't be totally racist or want to rebel against your ideals.
