Honestly I find it far more appealing than assigned male.
It's simpler, the colors are alright and it doesn't look like it would have those weird off-model uncanny valley expressions every assigned male comic has.
I can't say anything about the content itself, but honestly this just looks simple and generic which is a lot better than "horrifying".

Tumblr assumes trans= insta popularity and big bux now. There's nothing interesting about any of their stories, like whats different about this gay trans chick besides the fact you probably mean pre-op as an excuse to draw a dick in one of the pages? There's no creativity at all.

It looks kinda like they're trying to weasel their way out of saying "demisexual" or some other AVEN identity. Those identities are in the process of becoming "problematic" and uncool these days, so that would make some amount of sense.

I think you see more female friendships in kids shows, but I don't think most of them care that much about friendships as they do muh lesbians. They fetishize lesbians more that most straight white male shitlords.

I've not heard anything about demisexual becoming "problematic," but is it because it comes off as totally slut-shamey? Or have they finally realized it sounds like fucking bullshit?

News to me, Tumblr's usually making a big mess on if bisexuals and asexuals belong in LGBT+ spaces.

I've only seen some people paying attention to it, but it was mostly set off by people identifying as "heteroromantic demisexuals" and shit like that while still considering themselves part of the LGBT. Now it's getting hammered into the "straight people wanna be oppressed so bad" narrative. We're probably going to see more people jumping ship to "asexual with a sex drive" and "sex-repulsed bisexual" and the like in the near future.
