Medieval people were TOTALLY accepting of homosexuality, you guys.

This is frustrating because it's almost right. "Homosexual" and "straight" didn't become very rigid and divided until the 19th century in many ways. You could say that the understanding was that there were heterosexual and homosexual "lusts," rather than "orientations." It's right that we could say that there were a lot of "bromances" in historical European communities like the monk here alludes to.

But what does that prove? That it seems "gay" by modern standards? The church still considered these "lusts" that weren't a man and woman in wedlock to be sinful. Stupid comic from an idiot.

Actually, Aokigahara is something that you should be a bit wary of, namely because if you go too far into it, you'll get lost and probably never come out of it again.
And sometimes the best way to find your way out is following the trails of colored tape people left on the trees when they were unsure if they really wanted to off themselves.
