Alright but Piccolo's an alien, Goofy's a fucking dog, don't know what the fuck Skeeter is from but he's fucking blue, and Garnet's a fucking space rock. They're not black.

What the fuck are they even implying with that second post?
I would have thought there would have been more support for Bowie on tumblr, the dude was one of the first and the most famous to fuck with the gender binary in public. Guess that would require an understanding of history beyond "everything was peaceful, until the White Man arrived"

there's a whole laundry list of things bowie did that are considered racist/antisemetic/sexist/pedophilic/etc which is providing for some quality back and forth from tumblrites calling each other rape apologists and whatnot. It's pretty good stuff

It's because he got really high and had sex with an underage groupie back in the 70s, I think? Which I can believe, but every variation of googling for sauces I tried brings theroguefeminist's blog up as the first or second result, so make of that what you will.

he finally abandoned claiming what i was doing is illegal. I'm thinking of accusing him of Literal Rape next time he replies- see how far i can push this.

Recognizing a :ruse: is a skill you develop while cruising the web and looking at forums. If all you do is stay on tumblr and manufacture an echo chamber a safe space, then you don't get exposed to even the simplest of trolls or the basics of handling them. The complete ignorance of tumblr to the general sea of internet culture is probably one of the leading reasons its such a lolcow breeding ground/pen

To be fair, Skeeter has been theorized as being "coded black," but Jim Jinkins has said that's not true at all.

On the other hand... maybe Pluto is supposed to be a black guy who stays servile to the white man/mouse by not talking and doing stuff that dogs normally do, and Goofy's a black guy who fights the man by talking and walking upright.

(Imagine Goofy saying "Fight the power, my brothers"...)

Are you serious? Of all the people I'd think gender-special kidlets would be clinging to, David Bowie would have topped that list just for all the Ziggy Stardust and Jareth stuff. Lordy... tumblr, you never fail to make me facepalm. They don't realize that behavior was common in the 70's with drugged up rockstars and they don't think when he was young, he wasn't using the best judgement and made mistakes. I kind of can't wait until these people are in their 40's and SU demiboy lithosexual fanfic they wrote at 13 gets brought up as a reason to hate them.

I was thinking you should make like a counterpart url called like "ihatetrusufan" and start recoloring all the art you "stole" with completely black characters and rants about white people. I'd imagine most be people would support that side, no matter how much they complain about stealing art.

I agree, and I also think a big part of it is that seeing all those Random Tumblr Post you really get a feel for what the average Tumblr post may be like and the repeated patterns, so it makes it easier to spot when people make fake ones.

tumblr still doing a good job of making a death of someone all about them somehow

i'm not trying to be funny but is there any proof of the stuff the internet said he did or....? i know it's a serious crime but i can't find any sources and tumblr obviously doesn't think to bother
