So earlier I saw this post from the humansofnewyork blog, and I almost reblogged it, because despite being really into art my entire life and putting countless hours into it, I've always been hesitant to call myself an artist, and the quote really spoke to me. But then I saw this stupid-ass comment from the girl I follow that put it on my dashboard:

Just FYI, this girl is EXACTLY the kind of person the man in the post is talking about. She's so sure of herself as an artist (she's a writer, apparently, though I've never read anything but her myriad of shitposts that she makes while high) that she'll probably never grow. She's exactly the same now as she was when I started following her two years ago, just with a different haircut.
