Being a lefty lefterton, I, too am not pleased with wage slavery and a bit salty over corporate greed, but lol if you think shoplifting is going to do anything but hurt the people at the bottom the most. When costs go up and profits go down, do you think it's the guys at the top that take the hit? Ha.

powerlevel I guess but I worked at a CVS when I was in highschool and it was fine honestly, but we did get lectured at when people stole on our shift. Thanks for fucking over the working class, tumblr :)

There's a whole thread about lifters around here somewhere btw.

You own the mine you work at, you don't own the gold produced by some other mine, or even yours, and to take it is hurting the GLORIOUS COMMUNIST SOCIETY.

AKA yes and they'd get sent to the gulag.
In late USSR, especially in Brezhnev's era and later, petty thievery from the workplace was very common. The reasons varied from making up for the deficit of goods in stores to just for the hell of it ("Maybe it'll come in handy later!"). A popular Soviet saying said "Тащи с завода каждый гвоздь - ты здесь хозяин, а не гость!" (lit. "Take every nail from the plant - you are a master here, not a guest!"). Its agricultural equivalent was "Всё вокруг колхозное, все вокруг моё" (lit. "Everything around belongs to the kolkhoz, everything around is mine").

Obviously it was illegal, and the bane of every such thief was the Ministry of Internal Affairs's Department against Misappropriation of Socialist Property, called "Отдел по борьбе с хищениями социалистической собственности" in Russian and commonly known as ОБХСС (OBKhSS). Ultimately, the vast amounts of such petty thieves was one of the little things that all together contributed to the total breakdown of the Soviet planned economy in the late 1980s and the fall of the Union.

So how is it different from the parrot who think it is a dog in one of those 101 Dalmatian films?

It's apparently very obviously a metaphor for being trans. He even undergoes an operation to turn himself into a unicorn... Which backfires and turns him into a monster. Whoops.

I don't know what's more of a trainwreck, the episode itself or the sheer amount of sputtering rage it's generating.

It's a train wreck singularity.

I can't help but laugh at both these morons and the fact that the new PPG's creative team is trying to pander to them... And failing.

I....

I think the amount of autism in that link just imploded my brain.

I took the episode as "don't go to extremes to be what you truly are inside and don't let someone else/society/TUMBLR pressure you into stuff that isn't right for you because of their messed up ideas".

Then again, it's a kids show, so I didn't watch it expecting scathing yet inspiration social commentary.

there was that one shoplifter in the shoplifter thread who was confused by the fact that the store they lift from had to fire security because of all the money loss.
they really do think the lost buck gets passed up
