Ehhhhh not always true. True hermaphrodites do not exist in humans but a lot of people considered "intersex" are people with streaked gonads, sometimes babies with XY chromosomes and a vagina, sometimes both testicular and ovarian tissue, etc. A lot of the time people don't even know they're intersex. It's a pretty fascinating field, actually. But intersex people are usually used just as fodder for trans discussions which is stupid since they're not the same thing.

Anyway, this post is pretty standard fare but the censoring of "mad" is cracking me up.

Really? l*me? m*d? Are you fucking serious, Tumblr?
You can't change words that people have been using since the creation of the english language, or fuck, every language! Every language has a word for "stupid" and "out of your mind".

Those words are basically an integral part of language. What the fuck else is gonna fill in that void? People are gonna argue, get m*d and throw insults!

Thy don't seem to realize that as soon as they come up with new, more gentle words to describe retards and insane folk, the general public will begin abusing and overusing the new words eventually leading to their PC word having their own negative meaning. Eventually they'll run out of words that aren't *offensive.*
Or they'll just cycle through the same words again and it'll continue through eternity as an infinite loop of stupidity.

It does feel like they're putting a character's sexuality before anything else about them. There's no real appreciation of a character, her personality or whatever - it's always this really flat "she's totes a trans/demi/ace/lesbian queen and sooooo perfect!!!!!!". I kinda miss the days of fandom where people would obsessively overanalyze characters, at least it gave some room for an actual discussion.

And when they do focus on their personality they are trying to use it to label said charater with with a bunch of mental illness or disabilities.

I mean, they'd at least come up with some scant evidence of why they were totes gay instead of just saying "they are because I say so, fuck you."
