"You can't pretend to be these people! Only I can pretend to be these people!"

It does feel like they're putting a character's sexuality before anything else about them. There's no real appreciation of a character, her personality or whatever - it's always this really flat "she's totes a tranny/demi/ace/lesbian queen and sooooo perfect!!!!!!". I kinda miss the days of fandom where people would obsessively overanalyze characters, at least it gave some room for an actual discussion.

I don't recall them over-analyzing characters. I guess I haven't been on tumblr long enough. But tumblrinas do advertise gender and sexuality above everything else. The characters are always bland and have no personality, apart from their identity. They're blatant self-inserts. It's similar to how tumblrinas advertise their identity on their blogs before anything else.

I used to be acquaintances with someone who had good artwork. Their characters generally fell under this category, and it was a shame because they had a lot of potential.

You dig enough in the Undertale and Steven Universe tags, you're bound to find posts longer than any essay they've ever done for school over-analyzing the fuck out of a character or the universe in which these things take place in. Undertale especially with the Chara and Frisk characters.

A lot of fandoms in general need a dose of "It's not that deep".

I think it was more a livejournal fandom thing. I remember seeing a lot more meta posts back then.

Speaking of fandoms, those still dissatisfied with Lexa's death happen to be having a giveaway. They're tying it in with a boycott.

For your entries to be counted you must submit screenshots of your full conversation to this blog or email them to ClexaEB@gmail.com. There is no limit to entries per user. But multiple live chats must be from different accounts or, if “not signed in” from different ip addresses (routers). We’ve already seen that “spamming” from the same accounts has practically no effect.

NO PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM ANY SUBMISSION OR EMAIL WILL BE RELEASED OR REVEALED IN ANY CAPACITY WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION.

We plan to post the submissions on this Tumblr. So if you’re emailing but would like us to credit you by Tumblr url or something else, let us know in the email, otherwise all entries will be posted as “anonymous” and sensitive information will be removed before they’re posted.

As for those interested in the extra entries and canceling their Netflix/Hulu account: Go and chat with Netflix/Hulu - while signed into your account - just like you normally would, explaining your concerns. Then politely and respectfully add that while you do believe them when they say we are being heard, and you understand that decisions like these take time, you simply cannot continue to be a customer of theirs while this show remains promoted and supported by their company. Simply stated, that you can no longer support them while they support The 1oo.

NOTE: Do not just cancel your plan without letting them know why first. We want them to know that this show is now costing them future revenue. At the end of the day Netflix is a business, and money will always be the strongest motivator.

Important things to note:

1) Do not simply reactivate your old account days later. This only demonstrates that you are not serious about this issue, making the whole thing simply a waste of your money & time. If you do sign back up with either service, use all new information – email, payment method, the works.

2) Please do not sign up for an account just to turn around and cancel it, as this will have no actual effect and only serves to hurt our overall legitimacy.

A TIP FOR NETFLIX USERS:

Netflix supports simultaneous streaming on multiple devices. Meaning completely different movies/shows can be playing on different devices at the exact same time from the exact same account. In fact, I have been letting a friend of mine who lives an hour away use my account for about a year now with absolutely no problems.

Basic accounts ($8 per month) only offer streaming across 1 screen, but standard accounts ($10) offer streaming for 2 screens, & premium accounts ($12) for 4 screens. So even if you and a buddy are both on basic accounts, it’s still cheaper for you to go in on a standard or premium account together.

I am not saying to give total strangers access to your Netflix account or vice versa, but that if you know someone who also has an account, this might be a handy solution.

They never got the memo that they can be more than their gender and sexuality, or think that they have to be screaming queens to be accepted.

so, those lunatics on tumblr.com are doing a giveaway where people has to end their subscriptions to netflix and hulu... they're idiots?

I actually had to google "Lexa's Death" to figure out what that was about. These people are still not over it/haven't moved on to something else?

This is on par with Nosalgiatards with their "Bring back Ms. Bellum" petition for the new power puff girls show that they already hate in the first place.

Personally, I doubt those who want to participate in the Alogging of The 100 even have a Netflix account to cancel to get more entries. I bet the hysterical fandom would try to make burner accounts for that.

I wonder how they are going to send a knife through shipping. That looks like a lethal weapon, if it's not just a silly prop like those in the Swords Spergs thread.

Is Lexa a fictional character?

The obsession with both shows is annoying. I can understand if it's someone who died in real life, but these are fictional characters we're talking about. They need to get over themselves.

You dig enough in the Undertale and Steven Universe tags, you're bound to find posts longer than any essay they've ever done for school over-analyzing the fuck out of a character or the universe in which these things take place in. Undertale especially with the Chara and Frisk characters.

Ah. Now that you mention it, I do recall people making long-winded analysis of Steven Universe and Undertale characters- I try to avoid that stuff unless I'm in the mood for a laugh.

People have actually begun to make fun of asinine things like that.

The fucked up thing about this that most of the people listing or making these are underage.

The actress got another gig and decided to leave. Not that it really matters to these people because its still hurting the lgbt community or whatever
