Random Tumblr posts

I remember hearing about Breeding Season from different animators. Didn't it make a ridiculous assload of money every month but every update just made it more and more convoluted? I'd feel bad for people who sunk their money into it, but, y'know. Furries.
Not just more convoluted, IIRC, but they did things like changing their art style multiple times, and redoing the entire game. (Apparently due to Spurple if the above blog posts by the creator are to be believed)

Ten bucks they sent that to themselves.

I swear, tumblrites would play Bioshock Infinite and call it antifeminist because Booker saves Elizabeth from the tower.

I've seen ones that call it racist because of the depictions of Columbia, and the propaganda around. Somehow completely missing the point that those are the guys you're meant to be shooting in the face. And the Vox turning evil is apparently bad because fighting fire with fire is a totally logical and sound tactic.

95% of the Pokémon I've caught so far today have been in the comfort of my own home, on one spot on my couch.

This is one of the few times I'm ever going to agree with Tumblr. See, based on my own experiences with PGO, the app is...well, it's got some serious design flaws. If you're in an area that doesn't have a lot of internet activity you'll generally find bupkiss - i.e. more rural/neighborhood-like areas compared to places like urban centers. Sure, if you're of able enough body you could go walking to find them but if you ARE physically disabled/homebound, then tough tits for you. Frankly this could probably be fixed with a few tweaks to the app that takes environmental location factors into better account (i.e. the further out in the wilderness you are you might be able to find some more wild Pokemon, but only certain ones could be found in urban areas or whatever, you know, features that might be like the ACTUAL games), or maybe a "disability mode" that gives those who are stuck the ability to turn their home into a Pokespot once a day with a lure effect or whatever (but again, only like once a day and you'd have to pay out the ass on microtransactions if you want to take advantage of it more often).

That being said, most of those who are complaining that I've seen on Tumblr are just the lazy shut-in types who want everything spoonfed to them.

So, good idea in theory but currently for the wrong reasons.

Pokémon GO is, in and of itself, a brilliant evolution in gaming. It's the first interactive, augmented reality game and that's fucking 8ng amazingly innovative and will be the first step towards really impressive feats in interactive technology in the future.
I've never liked Pokémon and nevery played a Pokémon game in my life, but I can certainly appreciate the technology.

But for Christ's sake, if you are a person who actually needs to be told to not go traipsing across private property or into dangerous environments or disrupting work establishments in the pursuit of playing the game, then you are far too stupid to be playing the game.

I'm surprised no one has started whining that Pokémon GOT is awful because it "makes people who already disassociate question their reality". Seems suitably fun-sucking for the Tumblrites

Risking sounding like a Bad cut of Cow Meat™©® but the system pokemon go uses is just a watered down game the same company already released some time ago but with pokemons added to get some of that sweet90s kid money

the chick i got this from hasn't stopped reblogging Pokemon GO shit, is also an SJW, a Venezuelan 20 something year old that doesn't work and apparently doesn't have milk or sugar in her country

something tells me she might be a bit salty...but of course because she lives in "POC Country" that totally makes her 100% better than those shit gringos!

True latinos also don't say "latinxs", and what is up with latino tumblrinas that they think of the Spanish that way? When the Spanish barely if ever think of them...

Seriously? "Gringxes?" Does that mean it's now okay to call black people niggexes?

This beanx is crazy.

I guess this is where this person fell asleep, and at the halfway point of the game no less. Because otherwise, they would've known that right before Operation Babe Hunt started, Akihiko was already against trying to hit on girls at first until Junpei played on his competitive/self-improving streak, and even then, they're nervous about approaching Aigis at first until she finally speaks up once the protagonist comes up to her. Of course, the whole "her being a battle android that's devoted herself to protecting the MC's life" thing is a thing too, and they learn that as soon as they get back to Gekkoukan, and then the deal with her and Ryoji later on no less.

Though all things considered, when you're looking too deeply into hints of sexism in a modern JRPG from 2006, that's when I don't think you can function socially.

"gringxs"
Actually, Spanish people are "latinxs" too.
Because, you know. Latino means something/someone from a country where the main language comes from latin.
So, French people are latinos, Spanish are too, Mexican people, etc.

Edit: Also, by saying "Latino" you are excluding countries like Antigua and Barbuda (main language is English), Saint Vicent and the Granadines (English) and Belice, just to name some of them.

Seriously? "Gringxes?" Does that mean it's now okay to call black people niggexes?

This beanx is crazy.
That's because "gringos" is male only and "gringas" is female only, so they use the "x" to make it "gender neutral." It's pretty stupid, because in Spanish when you use male pronouns you can really mean a group of people with both females and males.
Also, they sometimes use "gringes", which does not actually exist.

Usually outside parties work to make video games more accessible to disabled players, like companies that design customized game controllers. Why should the onus be on the developer? Why should the able-bodied player be made to feel guilty over it? Why not instead do that carpool idea?

Pokemon Go is going to cure agoraphobia and get people to lose weight. People in wheelchairs are going to get fresh air and sunshine. This video game is a goddamn miracle and it's making people happy.

Also, wouldn't hospitals be Pokestops anyway?

Half my family is physically disabled something something powerlevel and we always manage to get out and walk. There are things like public transport and taxis and idk, friends who also like Pokémon you could use. I understand if like myself there's one Pokéstop in a town of 6k people that's on one end of the town rather than in the middle (seriously Niantic wtf is this garbage), but crying ableism on tumblr isn't actually going to change anything. Getting into contact with Niantic might, but God forbid they can't do anything about it, because tumblr will put them on the problematic list quicker than they can say Go.

All Pokéstops tend to be landmarks. My only one is the church - I'd have to actually go to my local hospital to see if it's a gym or a stop but who knows.
