God I love/hate that blog. It's really good to look through when I'm bored and want to hate the world.

Actually, I remember a post about the femme fatale episode going around Tumblr at least twice. Can't be arsed to go digging for it though.

Oh, I remember that. It was mostly complaining that the episode in question had a message of "You can't fight hate with hate" which (as we all remember from the Bismuth debacle) is kind of a, um, polarizing subject in the radical wannabe communist community. Or, you know, whatever community this is. People were also talking about how Lauren Faust, who wrote for the episode, regretted creating Femme Fatale--- though I can't find any real sources on that, I did find a different tumblr post with an alleged quote from Lauren along the lines of "Yeah, feminism is kind of a complex subject and maybe I shouldn't have tried to write a comedic kid's cartoon plot about it when I was 25".

I'm all for discussion of social issues, even in kid's cartoons, but I don't know why everyone goes nuts whenever showrunners (for whatever reason) don't use their works to spout bleeding-edge radical political views.

( tumblr related)Tumblr has migrated to real life. A women gets offended about an Hawaiian bobble head and demands a man to take it down because it "offends her". Even though she doesn't know shit about Hawii. Oh yeah, Hawaii is a continent now.
As it turns out, this lovely young woman is Annaliese Nielsen, founder of "Girl's Night In", which she has described as an exclusive online sorority. She's also accused of running a porn site, but I'm still looking into the authenticity of that claim.
She's presently in the process of having her shit fucked with in a variety of hilarious ways.
Her twitter was deleted after a slew of anon hate, which lead to someone grabbing her handle and immediately beginning to abuse it.
The troll responsible has issued the following statement, addressed to her new handle:

The fucking about has only increased from there:

Lol "sapiosexuality" has usually been widely criticized because "racist/classist/ableist to be attracted to intelligence." I mean the whole deal is bullshit but I find it funny (and scary) that people were relating RACE/CLASS and INTELLIGENCE. The "progressives" ladies and gentlemen.

The same people also don't consider stuff like this "ableist".

I know it's a nuanced issue, but what were they expecting from a children's cartoon? Of course they're going to promote peace and nonviolence. It's not their job to tackle the issue of whether or not killing/violence is justified, and if so, when.

>I'm a lesbian
>Don't call me a girl shitlord

The only one I really have a major problem with is call centre workers. Unsolicited calls from Indians claiming to be called John and saying my computer is infected can fuck off. Otherwise I'm not sure why people working this jobs need protecting.
Meh, there are a lot of assholes who decide to fuck with service workers' days, doesn't really need to be a social justice issue though.

I assume they mean the kind of people who handle customer service calls and stuff. You know, the poor sods who get called up and yelled at because someone's product isn't working. A lot of people take their frustrations out on them.

Was I joking, Brother Fiddleford? Come into the fold! Here, the moment you dream it, it already exists! :surprised::'(:cryblood:

An acquaintance of someone who isn't me who knew someone who also isn't me was working in a call center that did polls and surveys off of a random number system. They'd have area codes and they needed political data from randomly called numbers in that area. It was before the big American to Indian call-center outsourcing push, but I can't tell you any of the specifics because I wasn't there, and even if I was there, it would be power-leveling.

Long story short: Some guy blew an airhorn into his phone and deafened the call center girl in her right ear.

Heavy stuff. Here's a blog dedicated to fucking horses and dogs!

I loved this video so much that I did some follow-up research. It seems that Lyft fired the driver briefly, but then rehired him once the video came out because it proved his side of the story.

Saw these tweets on my dash. I started out agreeing with her but then she went completely off the rails. Having transwomen played by transwomen isn't going to convince men that you're "real women." The fact that you had or have a penis is defined in your fucking label.

Maybe the bigger issue here is that men would rather be murderers than gay? Doesn't that seem a tad bit fucked up to you?

Additionally the men you're addressing in particular "seek out" transwomen, so it's not as if they've been tricked into having sex, which makes me think there's something else going on here. It sounds to me like these men are just looking for a target to take out their aggression. They probably choose transwomen because you are marginalized. They figure no one will come to your defense.

Your first two points are strong. They're fine, good reasons to hire trans actors to play trans roles. If you have to hold hypothetical transwomen ransom to get your way it just makes you look like a whiny bitch.

I'm pretty sure when a dude who uses violence against prostitutes problem isn't with their genitals. He just thinks they're disposable.

This is something I find confusing about a lot of SJWs. Rapists, murderers, abusers - these people are predators. They may be misinformed about certain issues but ignorance is not the reason for their violence. The guy who murders a trans hooker isn't going to give a shit whether a trans role was played by a trans actor. He's obviously not interested in trans issues. He doesn't want to be educated. He doesn't care.

But there are already millions of people in America who do care. Instead of getting these people outraged at Hollywood, maybe you should direct them to their local governments or law enforcement so that we can actually catch these predators and put them where they belong.

But that would require actually doing something besides complaining.
