Random Tumblr posts

Six million Jews and six million political prisoners, prisoners of war, Roma, Sintis, homosexuals, physically and mentally disabled, and loads and loads of children not of "Aryan" descent. Children had a terrible survival rate, even compared to adults, both because Nazis executed them first on a very consistent basis (they considered them "useless eaters"), and the ones who weren't executed were quicker killed by starvation and disease than adults.

But, yes, a large chunk of Tumblr has a distinctly distasteful set of views regarding the Holocaust. First, there are these idiots, who seem to be completely blind to history and look at pictures of Holocaust victims and try to make it about them, as the bottom replier notes. Then there's the group who act like the Holocaust doesn't count as horrific or that it was a good thing, because they classify Jews as white now. Antisemitism is becoming fashionable among a good chunk of Tumblr and SJWs.

But then they have the gall to act like people who dislike their views about anything are all magically neo-Nazis. Hypocrisy and horseshoe theory at work, I suppose.
Reminds me of a post that The F Plus mentioned (on a podcast about internet asexuals) where someone didn't like how people failed to point out about all the asexuals and demisexuals that were persecuted and killed by the Nazis. The post got so much hate that the author had to lie that is was one of her headmates that did it.

Which is why the Brothers Grimm put those women's names in the annotations to their book...

EDIT: Here's what one of the other morons in this conversation said:

Actually, the original-original pre-Grimm Brothers’ stories that were passed around Europe via oral tradition are nowhere near as violent as the Grimm’s made them. Cinderella’s stepsisters were never ugly and kept their eyes, Snow White’s mother was not even a villain (instead a group of bandits were), and instead of spending the whole story napping Sleeping Beauty outwitted a dangerous bandit leader, wouldn’t let him sleep with her, and saved herself.

The original oral stories were radically changed by the Brothers Grimm to fit their personal and political beliefs. Most notably, they often added in female characters solely for the purpose of making them evil villains and took away most of the heroines’ agency and intelligence. Both brothers belonged to a small fanatical sect of Catholicism that vilified women because of the idea of Original Sin and Wilhelm in particular had a particularly deep hatred of women. The Grimms were actually pretty horrible people. Those cannibalistic queens and ugly stepsisters and the mass amount of violence against women didn’t exist until the Grimms wanted them to. Their ideas stuck so soundly though that we now assume they were in the original tales and that these terrible characters and ideas come out of some perceived barbaric Old World culture. But in truth they’re really the Grimms’ weird obsession with hating women showing through. The original oral folklore focused on the heroes’ and heroines’ good deeds and used them as ways to teach cultural norms and a society’s rules and encouraged girls to be quick-witted and street-savvy instead of passive princesses, and the Grimms promptly stripped that all away.

Adventuresofcomicbookgirl was one of the worst back in the day, dunno if she keeps going at it but she probably does, last i knew of her she wrote an SJW article bitching in Cracked.

(super-villains and theroguefeminist were also annoying, but nowhere near as famous i think)

Here is her new blog:

Some advice for finding people on Tumblr:

If you stumble upon someone who might be a SJW, go into their post archive (insert name here.tumblr.com/archive), choose text posts only and search for 'boy' - these people often post lots of salt about "white boys". Obviously, 'man' or 'men' works as well.
Often such posts are very alike, so they won't make good content for this thread, but it's a good detector of (petty) SJWism and potential trigger-happiness. Also, you can find exceptional people easily via reblogs.

I especially like those blogs with animu themes and/or pastel colours - they really contrast with hatred towards others.
