Also in the medieval times wouldn't the kids be working for their parents by age 10 anyways? Just because a lot of modern westerners are still man/womanchildren in their 20s (esp on tumblr) does not mean that people in their 20s everywhere all the time are still basically children, probably difficult to comprehend for them since they'd have to acknowledge their own childishness/delayed development.

It's only a hypothesis, but here you go. It might be worth noting that many of the people who gave details on their actual experience trying it complained about the mushy texture of the wet candy, but were surprised and even disappointed to find that it wasn't as painfully sour as they'd been led to believe.

Why do woke people think that mental illness makes them special oppressed snowflakes and that they should wear it like a badge? I have struggled with my mental illness and let me tell you, it didn't make me quirky and special, it almost ruined my life. It's called an ILLNESS for a reason! You need to get professional help, not brag about how special, unique and oppressed you are on the internet.
